I've been using regular trash bags in our diaper genie since my little girl was about 2 months old and it saves LOTS of money! :D The refills were just too expensive.
@thmtom : Sorry delayed response to question,, my new channel is JessC00k and I never use this one anymore. But, I just slide the bag opening up through the opening of the diaper genie and bring the edges up and over like a regular trashcan.
