I have a bunch of different hunting videos that I want to put together and burn a dvd. I'd like it to be somewhat professional. Is this the right program or should I be working with a program like i-movie? Thanks, Pete

I have made many movies on idvd with cool menus but when i play them on my dvd player the movie plays automatically and skips over the menu i made, how do you change it so that the menu comes up first?

hi. I have a big problem with exporting and burning the DVD. I can the project, but what seriously sucks is, everytime I try to burn the whole thing to a dvd the program just quites right before it finishes. then I tried opening the file in DVD studio pro. it says, it doesnt oopen the file if your iDVD program is over vs. 4.0. which program can I use instead?

I have been trying to burn a video from imovie for a week I used IDVD and it gives me a multiplex error problem during formatting after 3 hours right before the burn begins. I cannot figure out what is wrong!! Anyone have any ideas?

Question? Can you use a website called Ahashare in connection with Bit Torrant or Utorrant and save the movie file to your mac and then use IDVD to convert the video so it will burn to a dvd that will play in any dvd player?

When I play my iDVD in a regular player, it won't play the entire disc all the way through - after each clip, it goes back to the main menu, i have to select each clip every time. I don't see any menu item to make it play all the way through.

I'm new to this program, I've used DVD Studio Pro in the past, but I don't have it on my personal computer. Is there a way to go back to the main menu after the end of your video clip like you can in DVD studio Pro?

can you use any video format on idvd and will it automatically convert it to the correct format while burning on to a disc.

for example, avi. , mpeg4. , mov. , 3gp.

This Make Windows DVD Maker Look Really Bad, Really Really Bad!!! I mean there are obvious thing s Microsoft is missing and in Windows 7 they didn't even fix it!!! WTF I hate Windows DVD Maker.

Reasons why it sucks

1. Windows DVD Maker has limited Menu Choices and Laging Graphics when played in a DVD Player.

2. You can't Change the Area in which your DVD title is Placed

3. Its on Widows

4. When Windows 7 came out, Microsoft did not even bother to Update it,

5. It has an incomplete feel to it.

@khabazela01 Hello, this annoyed me too until I was shown how to resolve it >>> with idvd running, on the top left hand taskbar of your screen click the "idvd" tab, select preferences, select "general" and then untick the box that states "show apple logo watermark". It will no longer appear on your dvds.

I followed your directions and added 2 videos to create a dvd and an intro music track. In preview it works perfectly. When I burn a dvd and play it it works fine until I stop the dvd then it goes to a black screen with no options. any idea?

The thing I'm pissed about is the fact that you have to keep the stupid Apple logo, I'm mean really MAC has nothing to do with your movie but yet you have to keep it even though you paid for it, here is what I hate about MAC, money, money and more money, they want filmmakers(like myself) to pay for Final Cut Pro, an over $200 piece of software just to remove the stupid logo, it's pathetic. I have already bought a keyboard, a monitor adaptor and a firewire that would only work on the MAC.

check the spelling 'cause dddddd.jmov is not the same as ddddddj.mov

Thanks for replying. I don't have to check the file name as it is automatically encoded as .mov. Anyways, I figured it out already how to make my i Dvd work again. Apple techs was not much of a big help either.

Hi there Mac, Just don't know what to use video files to make a DVD wide screen because I tried to use H.264 and DV pro widescreen but everytime I play back is always Full screen but if I use the mpeg 4 is fine but I don't like the quality.. is there any video files wide screen I could use in iDVD>

Is there a way if you're adding more than one movie. Say for example, a musician wants to make a DVD with 5 songs on it so they have 5 separate .m4v files: is there a way to have the dvd play all of them in sequence without having it go back to the menu after each song?

i have a solution to your problem.... here's the thing you can edit your videos on i movie HD you can edit there 1st and then if you finish editing your videos save it and put it on the i dvd and it will play.. it was so simple you try it and tell me if it works..

Yes there is. While in iDVD click on the iDVD next to the apple in the left corner of toolbar, drop down, click on preferences, click on general, uncheck show Apple logo watermark. Enjoy!

we just made a vid on it...its called ishowu vs. screenflow

those are the two apps to do the screen...ishow u is free and u do not get to record urself

we bought screenflow for about 99 bucks and u get a much better quality!
