The whole problem was a crack in the intake boot. I replaced both of the flexible pieces of the boot that goes between the MAF (mass air flow meter) and the throttle body. Cleared the codes in the ecu and all is good!
I did also clean the carbon deposits from the DISA valve while I had everything apart.
Did you get a loss of power on M/ways especially going up hill
