Woe unto you false prophets and false teachers who deceive the spiritually dead and pervert the word of God , the scriptures speak to you “Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.” 2 Thessalonians 3:6 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back. “Proverbs 26:3
Woe unto you false prophets and false teachers who deceive the spiritually dead and pervert the word of God , the scriptures speak to you whose walk is disorderly and who exhibit despicable attributes regarding the brethren, For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. 2 Thessalonians 3:11 , “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” Matthew 7:23
These "critics" think they have a hold on God in a way others do not, however they do not have faith for what they criticize and you know what, they will have what their faith allows THEM to have....and NOT HAVE.
Paul Washer and all the critics need to get their eyes off of Joel Osteen and onto Jesus Christ and keep it there where it belongs. Critiqing Osteen is useless. God is using him greatly and in spite of the critics, God's Favor is on Osteen and I testify that it is.
"For we are not bold to class or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves; but when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding." 2 Corithians 10:12
Who ever this guy is, thAt is talking bullshit about how he feels Paul washer is wrong. Dude its funny how you waste your time making this video instead of praying your got damn self and see what's wrong with you!, you fucking cock sucker!, So pray and honestly seek God!, or shut the fuck up and Go to hell bitch!..
And No I'm not a child of Gods but I know the truth it's just not a reality in my life.. So 4 all of you that are follow Christ as it speaks of in the bible good 4 you and continue
No, you dont know the truth at all. Dont pretend to know anything about these subjects, you haven't the slightest. And how does that sound anyway? What are you, a moron? If you believe to know the truth, why will you not follow it?
Ugh, people are so annoying, you cant see reason. A pack of wild animals is what you are.
-_-; Washer is not talking about a woman seeking God and being qualified to be saved because she sought after God hard enough. He is talking about Desperation. When someone is DESPERATE, they do not give up after one try or even after two tries, they keep knocking until something or someone (in this case, God) comes to rescue. God, seeing the woman's brokenness at heart and will reward her with eternal life.
"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." -Jeremiah 29:13
You JUST contradicted yourself! So, you just said that it's not about a woman seeking God and being qualified for eternal life because she sought God hard enough. You then say that she is granted eternal life because God sees her brokenness. What kind of moronic idiocy is that!? And why did two know-nothings give you 'thumbs up'?
God rescues you before you even know you want Him. HE shows you salvation. You dont just decide one day you need it!
@JudgeEden hm.. For a guy that sounds knowledgeable about the bible, you sure are rude and judgmental! If you win this debate without love, will that amount to anything?? I assume ur a Calvinist. have nothing against divine election. I also believe that God is the ONLY one that can open the hearts of men and to save them, So the woman's heart was opened by God to begin with, which was manifested in the form of brokenness. According to you, i guess if we're chosen we don't need to repent, either?
Hey, i'm no more judgemental than nearly 100% of the responses on each one of this guys videos. And even though I responded to you harshly, the others here are far more rude. I have a reason to be irritated, because Washer is most obviously wrong and everyone here is constantly attacking the uploader.
And no, i'm not a Calvinist. I'm just a regular follower of Christ, I dont subscribe to a denomination.
If we know we did something wrong, why not repent? We should.
And even though you didn't imply this, I must address it. Christians assume that if we cant lose our salvation that we can sin all we want. But, every person who believes in this doesn't want to commit sin. God forbid we have an attitude to sin it up, we would never feel comfortable.
Anyway, while my posts may seem on the rude side, I was a bit angry. But I am not rude just because I feel like it.
@JudgeEden Yes, the bible says that it is HIS kindness that leads us to repentance, and I know that no one is good enough to come to God without His Spirit who causes us to seek Him. The bottom line is WE REPENT. Paul says that "godly sorrow leads to repentance" and to life. Seeking God in Brokenness comes before repentance, all we are only saved through repentance in faith. Forgive me when I fail to see just what part of my comment was moronic idiocy?

He's preaching repentance, true repentance. Getting to the point to where you know you have a need for him, he's everything, and not a cherry on the top on your ice cream.
what Paul Washer has to say just becoz its a hard pill to swallow admit it - if it makes u angry and you feel shame and u think "I hate what this guy is saying" you can be sure he is speaking the truth on behalf of God I say THANK GOD for Paul Washer AMEN!
Paul Washer is a bible believing Christian he tells us READ UR BIBLE SEEK GOD AND "HE" will find you, I am here to testify that this is the TRUTH not 5 mins at the front of a church saying the sinners prayer but truly SEEKING GOD because HE seeks those who truly want to be in his prescense Please people seek God with all ur heart and i gaurentee he will not let u down. It has nothing to do with works.. but it takes WORK to find the TRUE meaning of Christianity. Just becoz u dont like what (contd
Hi there I have watched so many of Paul Washers video's some of the stuff he says is SO HARD to take it really is but he is RIGHT. Everything he says is true, I like this woman ASKED Jesus into my heart (makes me cringe to think of it now) many times and yet I was NOT SAVED! Why ru doing this, Paul Washer is a TRUE Christian some of the things he has to say are SCARY but I am far more scared of those candy coated Christians who teach "its wht we can get from god" tht is rubbish people....
You are not proving anything with this argument because you're making an implication about we he said. Now if your implications are correct then maybe what you're saying is valid but since you don't know if your implications are true then you don't know if your proof is true.
What is this? Why is it ONLY the Paul Washer fanboys who comment on the videos? Paul Washer is a deceptive person, to be sure. The fact many of you, if not ALL of you, think he's above correction is proof he's the idol of many people here.
How about you HEAR what Andrew is saying before you just dismiss him? Idiocy runs rampant through many Christians, to the point they disregard PLAIN facts so they can uplift themselves on what a good person they are.
The scripture does say we as christians should examine ourselves:2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
You are tell this bunch of people that to now go home and get on your knees and prays like hell to Seek Jesus and you call this work. You sure sound like the Phersees of your judgement of ways to seek the Lord. They will, tell you to come over to the temple and drink some wine and we will try to get you a time and place to talk to Jesus. Don't get on your knees and pray like hell to seek him but to just go to the temple and discuss with us. Are You Catholic by any way ?
I disagree. I know exactly what Washer is saying and he is preaching the truth. Many try out Christianity like you would a new coat and if you don't like it you simply hang it up and try a new one. No person comes to true repentance and thus salvation by simply uttering a prayer that someone leads you in. A person must see their need for a Savior, face the fact that they are sinful and truly want to turn from that lifestyle. Being born again is the result. Change will result that is evident.
@DivinelyGifted So the epehesiasn who Paul wrote to were fools thus he said "...Ye are saved" Ephesians 2:8. And Paul was being a stumblingblock to Ephesians so.
scripturally..the act of salvation was completed at the cross. Jesus performed the "finished work" and therefore salvation cannot be achieved by works. doing so states that Christ sacrifice was not enough and at odds the very fundamentals of christianity. Salvation has already been given to everyone..we already have it...all thats left is to simply beleive that what Jesus did on the cross was sufficient and we become awakend to the fact that we ARE saved. not because of, but in spite of works
Yes we should seek after God. Paul Washer is a great Evangelist who actually cares that people really come to know Jesus Christ and not just about Him. To many easy believism fake preachers are pushing way to many people on to the road to hell.
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. - Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV)
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. - Matthew 7:14
God's wrath upon one's soul. I have to say that Paul Washer is unloving & prideful creating more like him who goes by what he says. As I've started listening more of his sermons shows me even more falsehoods & clear contradictions he made. He's completely unstable & there's no hope in even listening to him anymore. He's one of many false prophets to run from as fast as one can away from him! WARNING! All believers & non-believers stay as far away from this smooth talking LIAR!!!
Now Paul Washer sounds very manipulative & mystical. He's no better off than Joel Osteen or T.D. Jakes. I used to like listening to Paul Washer until I've heard one of his sermons when he mentioned about the lost people must wait on the Lord for salvation even if it took months or years. He condemns & denies God's simple plan of salvation according to scriptures. All through scriptures, God has such urgency for all people to be saved now & not wait any longer. The longer one waits prolongs --
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Remember. Those who are called in God's office are qualified to rebuke and to guide believers. This is why theology come out. Paul Washer intention that it is enough for to us ask more. God is not magic lamp whoever we wish.
Paul Washer has devised the test? He is reading through 1 John! He is reading through that book which shows you if you are in Christ by whether you are walking in the light or darkness. You are terrible.
AndrewcBain, Of all the many SOLID teachers you so poorly try to take apart and demean Dr.White is one of the most accessible people around. Why don't you act like a real man (as Paul exhorts Timothy to do in confronting false teachers), get out from behind your keyboard and call him. You can debate him in his chat channel or on the "The Dividing Line" Tuesday mornings at 11:00am MST and Thursday afternoons at 4:00 MST. Call during the broadcast at: 1-877-753-3341
Jesus said seek me and you will find me.. How will you find God if you will not seek Him? Will you just wait upon Him? You must seek HIM with all your heart! And upon seeking Him you will see all the dirt in you life
Hyper-Calvinism is unscriptural, false doctrine. It tends to flourish in intellectual pride and in neglect of soul winning, and is a symptom of moral guilt. It is Satan's effort to kill concern and compassion for souls.
I've listened to the whole preaching and there is only one possibility:
You Andrew are an idiot or me!
If you are right- I am a blind idiot as I heard this preaching (whole one, not a fragment) several times and had no idea or impression that it's about works! It's about seeking the Lord! I seek Him every day!
I am an idiot or You are, man.
I believe- something wrong with your heart or head.
This comment on Paul Washer's small fragment of preaching is complete nonsense. Paul doesn't say that seeking will save her but the Lord who is to be found by her! It's all about God's work in human's heart and human's attitude! And the whole Scripture teaches to seek the Lord.
have you ever heard of Gods day of wrath AndrewcBain which is in the book of revelations? if God destroyed the works of satan for ALL of mankind in which the WHOLE of mankind gets a get out of jail free card then what is this day of Gods wrath? where Christ comes to meet his bride and to pour out judgment on the wicked. please explain
it's not saying that Jesus forgave them but that he asked the Father to forgive them or no to take it into account what they were doing at that time under the cross...
Did He forgive them... the Father? Maybe later on they realized (by revelation from The Father) that they had commited a horrible sinn and they and they cried to God to get saved...
True Christ used the picture of Gehenna because people were familiar with that, a place of filth, dead animals and bodies of executed criminals were in it and it was speculated to have been burned periodically to sanitize it. Jesus was perfect and therefore used perfect parables and pictures to get his message across. Picture it, an eternal Gehenna, with eternal fires. Mt 18:8,9 Hell is a demonstration of God's justice. You must accept all of God, not just what makes you comfortable!
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul, Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28 So are you being ignorant of the fact that time and time again Jesus speaks of hell (Gehenna) as an ETERNAL place. How can you just ignore that? Mk 9:43,45,47; Mt 5:22,29,30; 18:8,9; Jas 3:6
For someone who has studied the bible for 100's of hours you are in error. A blatant error! How can you say that ultimately God will save everyone? That is so false and you are misleading people who read that. And there is a hell. Hell is the only punishment that is acceptable for sinning a holy God and rejecting his commandments and gospel. Yes you need to beg God to save you because he will have mercy on whom he will have mercy. Pray that his mercy would fall on you.
QUestion??Was Judas saved ??Judas did wonderful works and cast out devils.Did Judas go to Hell??Bible says he repented. Was he saved before he betrayed Christ??When Satan enterd him and he got up and left, is that symbolic as turning away from Christ??Did Judas lose salvation ??Or he never had it and was a counterfit the entire time??For the love of money is the root of all evil.Or did Judas go to Heaven??DId Christ grace begin at his birth ??Or resurection ?? JESUS LIVES AND HE ONLY SAVES !!
Romans 6:23 clearly tells us that death is the wages of sin. Jesus suffered and died an innocent man. And because he is also fully God, his ressurection and payment for sins gave him the ability to redeem fallen man. Through one man's obedience, many people will be made righteous. Romans 5:19 Hell is not a mistranslation. It a place of eternal punishment, the fires of hell will last forever and ever. A just God must punish sin, and the only acceptable punishment is eternal punishment.
We need to ask however many times it takes. My kids have asked God to save them, but they are not saved yet. IT is not up to us! Yes you do need to beg and ask this merciful God to save you. There is a hell and God will not save everyone! He will save his sheep who hear his voice. Which bible are you reading? Hell is real and the ultimate punishment for sinning against this holy God.
So we should just sit down and not witness to the lost or tell the lost to come to church or read his word and seek him? You are wrong! It's hyper calvinism like yours that is not biblical. We do not know where God's sheep are, we are to preach to everyone all the time. Keep asking God to save you, that is a great message!!
You are mistaken. HE does not say that, you are obviously missing his messages and need to hear him again and pray the Lord would help you understand. Crying out to God is not wrong! Would you whisper for someone to rescue you out of a burning house? The seriousness of hell is real.
But what if this is misunderstanding Washer? Suppose for a moment that he is saying to Cry out to God, and then stands on the truth that God saves us. Does that mean that we should NOT tell ppl to seek God? As long as the true Gospel is shared, if someone's conscience if pricked (the HS working on the heart/mind), why not tell them to cry out to God. I think one crux in the issue is if someone share a false gospel and tells people that their crying out /*causes*/ salvation. That's bad.
Cruc, you missed my point. It was that 1) no one had mentioned that 2) /*if*/ Paul believes one way (crying out) then he contradicts himself at the end. If you caught that point, simply that there's a contradiction there, then you didn't indicate it. Of course, that all requires that we understand Mr. Washer correctly.
(BTW, while I believe it's good to cry out to god in prayer, I already understand that crying out is not causal in salvation.)
And as we move on, Paul cites a preacher from St. Louis who said that he needed to "repent before" him (Paul). I know what people mean by that...like repenting of something while in front of the other person, but it just isn't a phrase I like. I repent before and because of Jesus, but I wouldn't phrase it that way ("before" another person) to another person, only before God. Well, maybe that's a Southern idiom that I'm not familiar with...and we know idioms don't mean what they literally say.
I haven't seen the whole video. However, I find it funny that the criticism of Washer is that Washer said to cry out to God and seek Him. Well, what's funny is that he says to keep seeking Him "until He finds thee." So, according to this, we seek, but God finds. Between Crucified2 and Bain, I didn't see any mention of that....that Paul admitted in that statement that it is HE who finds thee, and not the other way around.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
Read all the pages and pages of people who say Andrew Bain is wrong, some are preachers, some are youth leaders, the majority know scripture, and yet you cant see past your own false doctorin. How wicked.
crucified2 what religious denomination do you belong to? I have never heard someone ever, twist the scripture as much as Andrew bain, never. Andrew is an Anti-Christ; one who speaks against the gospel of Jesus Christ. all he does is tear men down, who gave you authority to judge men!!
How is he a Antichrist? An Antichrist is one who denies that Jesus the son of God came in the flesh. Andrewcbain doesn't deny Jesus Christ coming in the flesh. Please stop spewing your venom, and learn scriptures.
How watered down your religion is Andrew. You Catholic.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
I REBUKE YOU ANDREW BAIN, IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I REBUKE YOU!!
Zeal without the knowledge of Christ. You sound like a pharisee, examine what andrewcbain has to say, his rebuke is biblical, andyboy102 you are living off emotion of Paul Washers gospel without checking and discerning through the Holy spirit in scriptures.
lol a person has to respond to the gospel message or nobody can ever be save if u deny the work of the holy spirit and do not respond! mourning over your sin is evidence that u have been saved!
Act 2:21 And it shall come to pass [That] whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.' read your bible, works and repentence is evidence of our salvation and regeneration!
i love how every one of andrew c bain's videos are the same: he finds reformed ministers and takes a 30 sec excerpt and then twists it..he is a fool, and will be judged accordingly..go find the entire sermon and then see what washer was really saying, just like the rest of these post by bain...
crucified2, what I hear Andrew say is that "..they were not made righteous by praying all night". What I'm saying is that while people can think they're seeking Him, they may not really be seeking Him. It's a matter of the heart and only God truly knows the attitude of your heart. Therefore, seek Him until He has found you. Sorry but I couldn't agree more with Paul Washer.
Proverbs 17:15...He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.
Andrew seems to be of the latter group. Puffed-up and self-righteous in vain glory...
If you truly listen to Paul Washer's entire sermons and still insist on these diatribes against him, I implore you to examine yourself, Andrew, as something appears seriously wrong with your heart...
Andrew didn't say they were made righteous just by praying all night? Well, neither did Paul Washer. Listen to Paul's ENTIRE sermon, instead of quoting out of context and removing a passage from its surrounding matter in such a way as to distort its intended meaning.
Miss Z. had reported frequent OBEs in which she saw her body from a position near the ceiling, and this trial had been a test of her perception from that position (aside from OBE, we also have to consider ESP on her part). However, Tart had less success with famed OBE subject Robert Monroe, who, despite having very vivid OBEs, was never able to correctly recall the number.
My take on "OBE" (out of body experiences) is that it is a fascinating subject and is worth studying.
Here is an interesting example from the
Public Parapsychology site:
In a review of his classic OBE studies, Charles Tart (1998) notes the successful trial he had had with his subject Miss Z., in which she was apparently able to see a five-digit number written on a piece of paper lying on a shelf high up near the ceiling, above the bed she was sleeping on. Cont....
If you are unable to grasp the facts of history as to all the gods man created throughout the ages to enable him to cope with all his fears and especially the fear of no life after death, perhaps you had better take another look yourself.
There might be a real creator but not the personal god man created in man`s image.
The baggage this personal god has ie, heaven, hell, satan, original sin, the second coming etc., has exposed it for what it is.
Here are my thought on the present man created god:
Throughout the ages, man created gods for every conceivable reason he couldn`t understand and/or feared.
The Present god is no exception and evolved from these previous man created gods.
A personal god who watches and listens to our every action, spoken word and thought every second of our lives, simply smells of the essence of ignorant, arrogant, delusional man.
One meaning of the word "seek" is "to ask for." How does one ASK FOR God's forgiveness and be saved through Christ if he doesn't SEEK God? Seeking shows one's realization that he is in need. Mr. Bain seems to know another way to be saved by Jesus other than by seeking Him. God himself said, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and SEEK my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin" 2 Chro 7:14.
Mr. Bain does not like to seek the Lord for guidance and only depends on his own interpretation of the Bible. I still have to know about a modern day born-again Christian who was saved without seeking Christ. Seeking evidences need. Otherwise, all people will be saved automatically by God's grace even if they don't seek Jesus. "Ask and it will be given to you; SEEK and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who SEEKS finds...(Matt 7:7-8 NIV).
What's wrong with seeking God? Aren't we commanded to seek Him? Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
God can only do work in you if you choose to. I se a buch of you here are deceived here too. If Paul is in the spirit its not paul talking its God.Don'T anybody understand the Gospel.
Why would he preach such a convicting message as to have a person doubt their own salvation if his intentions are to mislead? The sign of a false teacher is they always tell you what you want to hear. Most people would rather sit in a church where they are never confronted with the true issues and sins in their life. The person who loves you the most tells you the most truth and what would he hope to gain from preaching too hard he preaches the WORD OF GOD not the word of man.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
6 Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the LORD, and He will have compassion on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
and he went out to meet Asa and said to him, "Listen to me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: the LORD is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.
2 Chronicles 15:4
"But in their distress they turned to the LORD God of Israel, and they sought Him, and He let them find Him.
crucified2 i can tell you never met GOD him self im not about to start arguing here but dont try to take Paul Wasehr's words out of his mouth and spin them around and use against him. GOD be mercifull upon you!
Thanks man. I sat through a one hour paul washer sermon, and began to question my salvation. I even failed to recognize how Jesus has changed me thus far, and I felt like I had a number of things to do in order to get into heaven. I can now see how important it is to read the word and not just listen to whoever is standing on the pulpit. It 's funny to me though, because as I watch these youtube videos it seems like the preachers in the pulpits say and do the most unbiblical shocking things
If what he says points out your sins so much as to have you think about your salvation then i say it is better than to have someone tell you what you want to hear and your sins never be pointed out Paul Washer speakes more truth than i think i have heard from any other preacher. He isn't saying you have to do a lot to get to Heaven salvation is all you need but he is teaching the life you should WANT to live if you are truly saved.
You see what you said. "He is teaching the life you should WANT to live IF YOU ARE TRULY SAVED. How can he determine if I am truly saved because I did something wrong. Read Romans chapter 4 vs 4&5. I as an ungodly man am more righteous through my belief in Jesus Christ, than someone who is busy trying to fulfill the law. What I'm saying is, if we have to be perfect in the works of the flesh and the law in order to get into heaven, then what are we praising Jesus for. We get the glory.
He doesnt say you have to be perfect but if you are truly saved you will strive to be more like Jesus i'm not saying you can't mess up everyone does but it will be a struggle but a struggle you will want to go through in order to become more like Jesus
AndrewcBain, sometimes I have to come back to your videos to see what people are saying? Don't you get it? Will you ever understand? I know one can only pray for you! but does not your comments speak volumes to you? Can you be so blind? What are your motives? Like I have said before, maybe you enjoy the negative attention? But you can still get attention by sharing the truth with people. Well, I personally don't want you to end up in Hell. Please rethink what you are doing. In Christian Love, J
Isaiah 66:24, And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be abhorring unto all flesh.
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, PREPARED FOR THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS. (Matthew 25:41)
I didn't even notice your comment. Now let me get this straight. Eventually be saved when hell is for eternity and alot of people are going there... for eternity! Universallism is a heresy there's no getting around that.
2peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." This Scripture clearly reveals that it is possible for ALL men to repent. God is NOT willing for any to perish.
how can you reconcile God's desire for all men to repent if He only predestinates certain of them to salvation? It does not make sense.
1John 2:2 reads, ""And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." 2Corinthians 5:15, "And that he died for all..." We read in 1st Timothy 1:15, "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. The Word of God proclaims that Christ came to save sinners, not just certain sinners.
Does God just hand pick who He decides should be saved? We serve a God who desires to reveal himself to us. Carnal man can't understand the things of God, but when God reveals Himself to carnal man he then has a descision to make. You cannot deny our responsibilty. Thats what free will is.
And we as individuals have to respond to the calling of God. We can choose to resond to his gift or not. The ownice is on us. Its not God's fault if anyone goes to hell. The individual has to make the discision. and faith is accompanied by works. if i believe there's a bomb in the building im gonna leave it. if i Yell "There's a bomb in the building" and sit there to i really believe.
don't sweat it I've taken no offence my friend. I've listened to alot of Paul Washer's preaching do i feel he's right on with everything... of course not. but i do feel you've sold him short. i've never heard him preach salvation by works. it sounds like that because the predominate preaching say a prayer and everythings alright. when someone says if your in the faith you should be living a certain way everyone cries legalism.
Legalism is when you think your doing something to earn your salvation. Holiness is the lifestyle strived for by the believer to please God - "Without holiness no one will see the Lord". And P.S. about the woman in the video above. Lam 3:25-26 "the soul who SEEKS Him... hope and WAIT quietly for the salvation of the LORD." WE HAVE AN OBLIGATION. This is still God Centered. If anyone understands this is by the grace of God - not me - its myself trust me my friend.
Salvation has always been grace though faith. Do we have the indwelling Holy Spirit now... Yes. do we have the born again salvation experience... Yes. Is Holiness a work of God... Yes. And we do get Zero Glory. All I'm saying is this doesn't make us exempt of the obligation we have as believers. Salvation did have a cost your life for His. If Christ lives in us then were not going to live the way we used to. Simple right.
First off you must have me confused with someone that doesn't work. I had a meeting to attend. Again just a dialog no need for insults. Gen. 15:6, "Abraham believed God, and God imputed it to him for righteousness." Imputed righteousness means that God's Justice has been satisfied. This verse is found in the context of Rom. 4:1-4. This was salvation in the Old Testament. It was Grace then its Grace now. It was sounding like you were saying it was works in the OT. Nevertheless I'm now off topic
When Paul Washer preached that shocking message to 5,000 youth, he, from what he said, probably figured that ppl like you would call him a legalist. Maybe Washer isnt always 100% correct, but just this video, watch?v=jfGb7X5uips, instead of just leaning towards opinion.
Paul Washer is a false teacher, how? If u actually listened to this video, Andrew is just twisting what Washer is saying, why? I dont know, but I would think he has had such bad experiences with preachers that were in fact false, he has reached the point where he critisizes preachers for every little thing.
That's where your wrong Jesus did say to judge a tree by its FRUIT. When John say the Pharisees, those who were focused on works, he added to his message bear fruit worthy of repentance (pss he judged them). Seek your salvation with fear and trembling - You cannot deny the responsibility we have as belevers to Bear Fruit. The lifestyle isn't the base but conformation of salvation.
Your missing what I'm saying. 1) Never attributed holiness to works,2) If the Holy Spirit makes us Holy then the result has to be Holy Living - Cause and Effect. What are we saved from? Can Salt and Fresh water flow from the same spring. If a decreased pattern of sin isn't present in the life of "someone in the faith" then there's a problem. Paul preaches a message not popular to many. It is faith by grace AND your faith must be accompanied by works. We forget thats in the Bible too.
He did NOT saying that the woman would be saved by her seeking, that is why he said til God saves her. Besides, there is a difference between finding God and seeking Him. Finding-no one finds Jesus, He finds us, besides those looking for God are looking for an idol. Seeking-has to do with desiring God which no one does unless God regenerates the heart. Andrew, nothing personal, but all your videos are doing is causing division.
I am no Calvanist by any stretch of the imagination. Needless to say I believe Paul Washer is right on. The American Church today is so caught up in doctinal teaching its missing the bigger picture and many still march on a Broad road. The Problem with legalism is that 20 years ago it was called HOLINESS. There's no distinction with the church and the world. We are called to be a distint people. This means we act differently then the world... Hello. Something has change after we encounter God.
You know, now this is kinda funny...but when I first read your user name AndrewcBrain, I thought..."Andre WC Brain?". But after I saw your analisys on Paul Washer's sermons I thought..."I didn't missread it.You have a Water Closet brain!:) There are few like Paul Washer these days, and Satan has more and more power over people. So, God bless Paul Washer!!!
crucified2, you serve God, not vice versa. Salvation is so hard only God makes it possible, it's not a flu shot. Matthew 7:21-23, not everyone who says Lord Lord is saved. Only those that are repentant and truly His sheep will be saved. You are persecuting someone who commanded that everyone repent and cry out to God, I guess this is heresy to you. If you want to stick to that prayer or flu shot, go ahead. As Christians we have to realize that salvation is not a flu shot like you propose.
Assurance is the work of the holy spirit. If you are born from above, then you can believe the Gospel and understand God´s word. But every believer can be tempted and fall into any kind of sin - even doubts! But as the believer is under grace one for all times, he will not loose his position as a child of God! Andrew, be careful. Doubts are not necessarily a sign of an unbeliever, because even believers can fall into any kind of sin.
Wow! So out of context! He qualafies what he means by the test first! HE does not need to re-qualify it again later does he? It's common sense. I went public school and I can understand that. There is nothing mathmatical about the test. You insert the lies yourself. If you are going to try and make an arguement at least make one over what somebody says and not what you think he says.
Never did Washer say "more than everyone else" YOU INSERTED THAT yourself, as it is not in the audio or text of what he said. There is no point in twisting his words to make them say something that they don't - unless you like to appear wiser than others.
If they truly call upon the lord, then the things in 1 John will happen. That will be the proof and output that she truly trusted in the lord, however don't take Romans 10 13 out of context, we need to preach the gospel and not find a convenient plan that forces people to say some magic words. Paul Washer is stressing that THINGS WILL CHANGE if you truly called upon the Lord, he does this because no one else does. You are taking him out of context, be careful of false accusation.
And you can't find ONE verse that backs up the fact that you have to "give your whole life" to Jesus to be saved. Not ONE! Lordship Salvation is HERESY!
Paul Washer is a false prophet, bottom line. I don't even agree with EVERYTHING that Andrew puts up here, but he's DEAD ON with this one. Washer did NOT tell her BIBICALLY how to be saved (by believing on Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sins because of his substitutionary death and resurrection). He told her to do the WORK of "crying out to Jesus". LIES! He also tells her that calling upon the name of the Lord DIDN'T save her (denying Romans 10:13)! Paul Washer is preaching hellish lies!
Y'all really need to open y'all Bibles and quit surfin' the net all day. Washer vehemently denies Romans 10:13 here by telling this woman that she was NOT saved YET she cried out Jesus all night long to save her! He also teaches that you should base your assurance off of your own lifestyle (works).
Paul preachs how it is, how john the baptist preached it. How can you just tell someone who does not want to follow Christ just say this prayer and you will be saved. You must be willing to give your life completely to God. Many will come but few are choosen. God's grace shows us our sin. The true gosple is the Holy Bible, read it. Jesus came to not to destroy the law. Thoose who love God understand the law and why it is good, That is why you should follow the law.
Paul Washer's message led me to my eternal salvation through SEEKING THE LORD!Ephesians 2:8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—(Seek God's grace and you will find). If you don't seek how will you find? The bible says to examine yourself. How would you think of yourself if you were just as the world? Christ followers will not look like the world. This guy spends to much time judging paul washer.
Matthew 7 was when Jesus was on the mount. They did not truly know who he was.
And If you look at this video in context.
When the Women first asked, did he not first Say, "Seek the Lord until you are found by him?" and the last verse this video used for its critism said "...until "he (god) finds thee.?" If you look at his videos in context you will tell he is not Roman Catholic either.
Andrew, you are so funny. Yes, I love the sincerity of Paul Washer. He is genuine. You know, a real child of God. As far as you 77 theory? I wouldn't waste my time. It's bad enough that I come over here at all. Subscribers: You invited me! Plus to a certain level you are like watching a car wreck. You hate to see it happen, but you must look!
Oh one additional comment! I have tracked your comments and you have none except for yourself Andrew. Oh and on your other videos other people noticed that you were doing the same with another screen name. Caught ya. If that were not enough, who would throw stones at Paul Washer. NO CHRISTIAN! BYE andrew!

These "critics" think they have a hold on God in a way others do not, however they do not have faith for what they criticize and you know what, they will have what their faith allows THEM to have....and NOT HAVE.
PureAirSolutions 4 months ago
Paul Washer and all the critics need to get their eyes off of Joel Osteen and onto Jesus Christ and keep it there where it belongs. Critiqing Osteen is useless. God is using him greatly and in spite of the critics, God's Favor is on Osteen and I testify that it is.

684shilmido 5 months ago
@684shilmido
JudgeEden 5 months ago
@684shilmido
JudgeEden 5 months ago
@JudgeEden Yes, the bible says that it is HIS kindness that leads us to repentance, and I know that no one is good enough to come to God without His Spirit who causes us to seek Him. The bottom line is WE REPENT. Paul says that "godly sorrow leads to repentance" and to life. Seeking God in Brokenness comes before repentance, all we are only saved through repentance in faith. Forgive me when I fail to see just what part of my comment was moronic idiocy?

TheChrissy48 1 year ago

Are You Catholic by any way ?
turtle4aire 1 year ago
Change will result that is evident.

scripturally..the act of salvation was completed at the cross.

Hyper-Calvinism is unscriptural, false doctrine. It tends to flourish in intellectual pride and in neglect of soul winning, and is a symptom of moral guilt. It is Satan's effort to kill concern and compassion for souls.

This comment on Paul Washer's small fragment of preaching is complete nonsense. Paul doesn't say that seeking will save her but the Lord who is to be found by her! It's all about God's work in human's heart and human's attitude! And the whole Scripture teaches to seek the Lord.

it's not saying that Jesus forgave them but that he asked the Father to forgive them or no to take it into account what they were doing at that time under the cross...

MD4Christ 3 years ago
Ok let's start with this one:
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul, Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28 So are you being ignorant of the fact that time and time again Jesus speaks of hell (Gehenna) as an ETERNAL place. How can you just ignore that? Mk 9:43,45,47; Mt 5:22,29,30; 18:8,9; Jas 3:6
MD4Christ 3 years ago

619kane 3 years ago
Romans 6:23 clearly tells us that death is the wages of sin. Jesus suffered and died an innocent man. And because he is also fully God, his ressurection and payment for sins gave him the ability to redeem fallen man. Through one man's obedience, many people will be made righteous. Romans 5:19 Hell is not a mistranslation. It a place of eternal punishment, the fires of hell will last forever and ever. A just God must punish sin, and the only acceptable punishment is eternal punishment.
MD4Christ 3 years ago
We need to ask however many times it takes. My kids have asked God to save them, but they are not saved yet. IT is not up to us! Yes you do need to beg and ask this merciful God to save you. There is a hell and God will not save everyone! He will save his sheep who hear his voice. Which bible are you reading? Hell is real and the ultimate punishment for sinning against this holy God.
MD4Christ 3 years ago
So we should just sit down and not witness to the lost or tell the lost to come to church or read his word and seek him? You are wrong! It's hyper calvinism like yours that is not biblical. We do not know where God's sheep are, we are to preach to everyone all the time. Keep asking God to save you, that is a great message!!
MD4Christ 3 years ago
You are mistaken. HE does not say that, you are obviously missing his messages and need to hear him again and pray the Lord would help you understand. Crying out to God is not wrong! Would you whisper for someone to rescue you out of a burning house? The seriousness of hell is real.
MD4Christ 3 years ago
But what if this is misunderstanding Washer? Suppose for a moment that he is saying to Cry out to God, and then stands on the truth that God saves us. Does that mean that we should NOT tell ppl to seek God? As long as the true Gospel is shared, if someone's conscience if pricked (the HS working on the heart/mind), why not tell them to cry out to God. I think one crux in the issue is if someone share a false gospel and tells people that their crying out /*causes*/ salvation. That's bad.
Habakkuk2v20 3 years ago
Cruc, you missed my point. It was that 1) no one had mentioned that 2) /*if*/ Paul believes one way (crying out) then he contradicts himself at the end. If you caught that point, simply that there's a contradiction there, then you didn't indicate it. Of course, that all requires that we understand Mr. Washer correctly.
(BTW, while I believe it's good to cry out to god in prayer, I already understand that crying out is not causal in salvation.)
Habakkuk2v20 3 years ago
And as we move on, Paul cites a preacher from St. Louis who said that he needed to "repent before" him (Paul). I know what people mean by that...like repenting of something while in front of the other person, but it just isn't a phrase I like. I repent before and because of Jesus, but I wouldn't phrase it that way ("before" another person) to another person, only before God. Well, maybe that's a Southern idiom that I'm not familiar with...and we know idioms don't mean what they literally say.
Habakkuk2v20 3 years ago
I haven't seen the whole video. However, I find it funny that the criticism of Washer is that Washer said to cry out to God and seek Him. Well, what's funny is that he says to keep seeking Him "until He finds thee." So, according to this, we seek, but God finds. Between Crucified2 and Bain, I didn't see any mention of that....that Paul admitted in that statement that it is HE who finds thee, and not the other way around.

This teaching of Andrews is just plain wrong wrong. Christ did indeed say "strive to enter in" Luke 13:24.
and secondly that Paul Washer should suggest to the woman to go home and cry out to God is absolutely scriptural as well.

Whether Andrew has discernment and wisdom from the Holy Spirit, I do not know. What I do know is that Andrew quotes out of context.
havemaskwilltravel 3 years ago
crucified2, what I hear Andrew say is that "..they were not made righteous by praying all night". What I'm saying is that while people can think they're seeking Him, they may not really be seeking Him. It's a matter of the heart and only God truly knows the attitude of your heart. Therefore, seek Him until He has found you. Sorry but I couldn't agree more with Paul Washer.
havemaskwilltravel 3 years ago
Proverbs 17:15...He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.
Andrew seems to be of the latter group. Puffed-up and self-righteous in vain glory...
If you truly listen to Paul Washer's entire sermons and still insist on these diatribes against him, I implore you to examine yourself, Andrew, as something appears seriously wrong with your heart...

Andrew didn't say they were made righteous just by praying all night? Well, neither did Paul Washer. Listen to Paul's ENTIRE sermon, instead of quoting out of context and removing a passage from its surrounding matter in such a way as to distort its intended meaning.
havemaskwilltravel 3 years ago
crucified2, I'm not saying you are quoting out of context, it's Andrew who does that.
havemaskwilltravel 3 years ago
At 5:50 Andrew says: "...NOT because they stayed up all night and prayed..."
Luke 6:12 says: "...He went out to the mountain to pray ALL NIGHT to God".
Why would Jesus then pray all night to God if this is not what the Scripture teaches?

Miss Z. had reported frequent OBEs in which she saw her body from a position near the ceiling, and this trial had been a test of her perception from that position (aside from OBE, we also have to consider ESP on her part). However, Tart had less success with famed OBE subject Robert Monroe, who, despite having very vivid OBEs, was never able to correctly recall the number.

My take on "OBE" (out of body experiences) is that it is a fascinating subject and is worth studying.

Throughout the ages, man created gods for every conceivable reason he couldn`t understand and/or feared.

Jossher700 3 years ago

Touchblevins 3 years ago
If what he says points out your sins so much as to have you think about your salvation then i say it is better than to have someone tell you what you want to hear and your sins never be pointed out Paul Washer speakes more truth than i think i have heard from any other preacher. He isn't saying you have to do a lot to get to Heaven salvation is all you need but he is teaching the life you should WANT to live if you are truly saved.
mrc0olguy 3 years ago
You see what you said. "He is teaching the life you should WANT to live IF YOU ARE TRULY SAVED. How can he determine if I am truly saved because I did something wrong. Read Romans chapter 4 vs 4&5. I as an ungodly man am more righteous through my belief in Jesus Christ, than someone who is busy trying to fulfill the law. What I'm saying is, if we have to be perfect in the works of the flesh and the law in order to get into heaven, then what are we praising Jesus for. We get the glory.

1John 2:2 reads, ""And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." 2Corinthians 5:15, "And that he died for all..." Titus 2:11 clearly teaches, "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to ALL men."

Then yes or no. God decides to send people to hell.
fireonthaalta 3 years ago
Does God just hand pick who He decides should be saved? We serve a God who desires to reveal himself to us. Carnal man can't understand the things of God, but when God reveals Himself to carnal man he then has a descision to make. You cannot deny our responsibilty. Thats what free will is.
fireonthaalta 3 years ago
And we as individuals have to respond to the calling of God. We can choose to resond to his gift or not. The ownice is on us. Its not God's fault if anyone goes to hell. Crucified,
don't sweat it I've taken no offence my friend. I've listened to alot of Paul Washer's preaching do i feel he's right on with everything... of course not. but i do feel you've sold him short. i've never heard him preach salvation by works. it sounds like that because the predominate preaching say a prayer and everythings alright. when someone says if your in the faith you should be living a certain way everyone cries legalism.
fireonthaalta 3 years ago
Legalism is when you think your doing something to earn your salvation. Holiness is the lifestyle strived for by the believer to please God - "Without holiness no one will see the Lord". And P.S. about the woman in the video above. Lam 3:25-26 "the soul who SEEKS Him... hope and WAIT quietly for the salvation of the LORD." WE HAVE AN OBLIGATION. This is still God Centered. If anyone understands this is by the grace of God - not me - its myself trust me my friend.
fireonthaalta 3 years ago
Salvation has always been grace though faith. Do we have the indwelling Holy Spirit now... Yes. do we have the born again salvation experience... Yes. Is Holiness a work of God... Yes. And we do get Zero Glory. All I'm saying is this doesn't make us exempt of the obligation we have as believers. Salvation did have a cost your life for His. If Christ lives in us then were not going to live the way we used to. Simple right.
fireonthaalta 3 years ago
First off you must have me confused with someone that doesn't work. I had a meeting to attend. Again just a dialog no need for insults. Gen. 15:6, "Abraham believed God, and God imputed it to him for righteousness." Imputed righteousness means that God's Justice has been satisfied. This verse is found in the context of Rom. 4:1-4. This was salvation in the Old Testament. It was Grace then its Grace now. It was sounding like you were saying it was works in the OT. Nevertheless I'm now off topic
fireonthaalta 3 years ago
When Paul Washer preached that shocking message to 5,000 youth, he, from what he said, probably figured that ppl like you would call him a legalist. Maybe Washer isnt always 100% correct, but just this video, watch?v=jfGb7X5uips, instead of just leaning towards opinion.

The lifestyle isn't the base but conformation of salvation.
fireonthaalta 3 years ago
Crucified,
Your missing what I'm saying. We forget thats in the Bible too.
fireonthaalta 3 years ago
He did NOT saying that the woman would be saved by her seeking, that is why he said til God saves her. Besides, there is a difference between finding God and seeking Him. Finding-no one finds Jesus, He finds us, besides those looking for God are looking for an idol. Seeking-has to do with desiring God which no one does unless God regenerates the heart. Andrew, nothing personal, but all your videos are doing is causing division.
2corinthians710 3 years ago
I am no Calvanist by any stretch of the imagination. Needless to say I believe Paul Washer is right on. The American Church today is so caught up in doctinal teaching its missing the bigger picture and many still march on a Broad road. The Problem with legalism is that 20 years ago it was called HOLINESS. There's no distinction with the church and the world. We are called to be a distint people. This means we act differently then the world... Hello. Something has change after we encounter God.

crucified2, you serve God, not vice versa.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him (God)...
So then how do we get faith?
We get faith by Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God...
Faith does not come by any works of our own doing. Faith comes in Galatians 3:2 & 5
...by the hearing of faith not the works of the law Thanks for the videos!

Doubts are not necessarily a sign of an unbeliever, because even believers can fall into any kind of sin.
michaeleyeofthetiger 4 years ago
Wow! So out of context! He qualafies what he means by the test first! HE does not need to re-qualify it again later does he? It's common sense. I went public school and I can understand that. There is nothing mathmatical about the test. You insert the lies yourself. If you are going to try and make an arguement at least make one over what somebody says and not what you think he says.
sonofcohen 4 years ago

Autumn6 4 years ago
Y'all really need to open y'all Bibles and quit surfin' the net all day. Washer vehemently denies Romans 10:13 here by telling this woman that she was NOT saved YET she cried out Jesus all night long to save her! He also teaches that you should base your assurance off of your own lifestyle (works).
Autumn6 4 years ago
Paul preachs how it is, how john the baptist preached it. How can you just tell someone who does not want to follow Christ just say this prayer and you will be saved. You must be willing to give your life completely to God. Many will come but few are choosen. God's grace shows us our sin. The true gosple is the Holy Bible, read it. Jesus came to not to destroy the law. Thoose who love God understand the law and why it is good, That is why you should follow the law.
