I mean... For the 1st time, we finally Asian's get to shine... and probably get people to come back to watch PR's... we get screwed. Think about it. If they did do Shikanger... people will be talking like, "hey, they finally have an Asian Red Ranger"... or "Dude.... it's Samurai Rangers now. Awsome..!" or even "Guys, let's go watch PR's. I heared it's a real cool show now. They finally gave us what we wanted to see."

The chance to bring people back to PR's... and Disney passes it up.

DISNEY Sucks...! They're skipping Shikinger to avoid having an Asian Red Ranger. That's why they're making reruns of MMPR. So, when Super Sentai doesn't have an Asian theme, Disney will air that current Super Sentai as the new PR show.

LIke I didn't see this comming? It's Racial Business. The Boured saids they don't want an Asian Red Ranger.... They find another way around it.

@dchyang No they are not skipping Shikenger to avoid the red asian ranger. Its because Shikenger has too much Japanese culture in it, expecially the way they henshin/morph. The Kanji is too hard for little children at the age of 7-10 to understand.

The origenal Kakurangers used scrolls with Kanji symbols aswell. In Alein Rangers there were plenty of Kanji symbols on the robots and the weapns they used. It's no different here. Disney could of easily done the same. I gotta emit. That's good reasons why they can't do Shikanger, but I just see them as excuses to not have an Asian Red Ranger

The fact that I'm thirteen means nothing. I've watched PR for quite a while, Saban never translated the symbols, same for Ninja Storm. No kanji is EVER and i mean EVER translated. Since this one is based around all sorts of japanese culture, like the kuroko and the boats, everything even the origami is based on the japanese culture. Hold your horses and Wait till that day, I'm Chinese and I still watch PRiS, this stuff isn't new to me, want to watch asians in PR suits? Watch Super Sentai.

Remember, they tried to avoid Kakuranger (sort of, they wanted more footage with the original suits). I still don't get that they didn't want an Asian red ranger. That implies the folks producing the show had pretty bad racism for almost 18 years (obtained footage from the '92 Sentai), despite the fact that they've got quite a bit of history dealing with Toei and whatnot. If they were so racist towards Asians, wouldn't they not have made the show in the first place, with a progressive cast?

Actaully, Saban would dealt with it. They would of dealt with anything Toi sent them. But the show is now own by Disney. Disney is the Racist company... ever since Wild Force. Saban was still in contal at that time of Wild Force, but after that, Disney "F" it up. Ninja Storm was almost cool. There was alot of asians in that show, but still... no Asian Red Ranger. And they too had Kanji symbols. Finally when we Asians get to truly shine, Disney screws us over.

I just think the story is horrible its like this whole madmax setting with people who turn into these bright costumed characters. They have such a serious background when it comes to story yet goofy looking monsters and giant fucking vehicles. engine sentai didnt take it self seriously it was a jokey show with alot of cheesy shit. it just seems like the american version lost what made the original so good.

As far as I've heard they are going to be reairing the original series. They are going to remaster it so it looks much better. A new set of Rangers would be cool, but it doesn't look like it's happening next year, if ever again. :(
