you know I dont watch Ultimate fighting all that much so I wont critique too much but while these guys are in great shape and are extreme athletes a lot of the time the end result comes down to a wild punch that landed, like in boxing it came down to quickness, speed, being able to take a punch etc... this above was a wild punch. i know not every fight ends this way but quite a few do I prefer boxing

That may have been true years ago, but now adays the crowds only boos when it hits the ground and guys are stalling. When a guy is getting a beatdown or going for a submission, the crowd often cheers.

Hatton/Ward was a great trilogy, but MMA cards tend to be more stacked with top fighters than boxing cards, and the best talent in MMA usually fights each other. Not only that, the Maynard/Edgar trilogy was amazing as well this year.

Also, in a real fight do you expect someone not to kick, elbow, and knee because you don't think it should be allowed? I for one would not limit myself to just one attack. All I'm saying is MMA is the complete fighting game and boxing is an important part, but not the only part.
