If the IRS tax evasion case continues to move against Sarah Palin as it is expected to, she may be the most public figure to be prosecuted since Al Capone.

your vote is your power. you can vote for judgment and character or you can use your vote to feed an old man's ego.
Wow, you can't post a comment on Obama's site without having it censored or not posted at all. Hat's off to the McCain camp for actually letting people post their comments, even if they don't agree with McCain's position. Too bad Obama can't take criticism of weak policy. I'm voting Bob Barr myself, but hats off to McCain for freedom of speech.
McCain voted against making Martin Luther King Day a Holiday. He remains silent about the racist attacks against the Obama family. If it walks like a duck.............
Contrary to what Jessie Jackson says, it's unlikely that MLK was able to say anything or even be consious. The bullet that killed him entered his cheek shattering his jaw, traveled down his spinal column, then lodged in his shoulder. The damage to his spinal column would have paralized everythin below his neck, including his heart and diaphram. He could not have spoken. Even Jackson claims his last words were to to request the singing of a particular song. Nothing political was said. No recant.
There's no such thing as "FREE" health care or college. Someone has to pay for it. You just want the government to extort the money from those who earned it and use it to pay the doctor bills and college of those who have not earned it. This is pure old fashoned marxism! It was Karl Marx (father of the communist manifesto) who said, "From each according to their ability, to each according to their need." Obama subscribes to this philosophy and is therefore a marxist.
exdesertrat, I do admire you. Many times I wish I could develop your attitude. You are right about nothing being free. My wife is still paying for her Phd. Whenever I start feeling like I can't stand anymore of this health care crap visions of my grandfather telling me that I should thankful for having so much and should give back haunt me. I have incredible insurance, my hip replacement in June cost me nearly nothing That is what I should care about, hell with this christian principal crap
McCain forgetting how many homes he owns shows he's out of touch. If you think his being out of touch doesn't matter, ask the families of POWs/MIAs whose cause he abandoned.
As Senator, McCain abandoned POWs/MIAs when he lost touch with their cause. As President, McCain will abandon the troops when he loses touch with theirs.

"On 8 June 2007, during the 33rd G8 summit in Heiligendamm, Sarkozy set a goal of reducing French CO2 emissions by 50% by 2050 in order to prevent global warming."
i love this country, but "conservative" has crept into flat out crazy locally. don't be fooled into thinking foreign conservatives are much like ours. just like paris ain't much like d.c....
i just don't see much use in making that kind of comparison. immigration in the eu is totally different from ours. they're much closer to the middle east, eastern europe and africa, and most of our immigration problems stem from our proximity to mexico/south america. we set it up to work just like this in the 30s and 40s, and now every 20 years the government gets all worked up, but nothing fundamentally changes. it's sad. but it's not as sad as immigration in france. remember all those riots?
People have a few options I found with past due payments on a mortgage loan. People can borrow money to catch up, they can make payment arrangements, they can go to a debt counselor who can help talk to the mortgage companies, and when all else fails - file bankruptcy. There are two kinds I believe. One is reorganizational bankruptcy which give 3 years or so to catch up, and then there is the bankruptcy that everything is liquidated to pay debts.
I found that mortgage companies send out foreclosure letters after 2 months past due, and takes up to six months to lose the house. If a person filed for a new loan through a government agency it can take a lot of time to process, not to mention red tape. I would like to see maybe laws that encourage the mortgage companies to be more HELPFUL instead of satanic when a person falls behind for whatever reason-and to refinance to better payments than it is now.
I think that it is wrong that a mortgage company will actually refuse any kind of payment after being two months past due demanding full payment or else - which causes the default to snowball. It would be helpful if there were laws that stated that they could not do that, but to take every reasonable action to resolve the difficulties of the homeowner.
Not so good video edit. Has about 2 minutes of air space. What was suggested in this clip did not make sense to me. 1/3 to homeowner, 1/3 to lender, and 1/3 to the government? From my experience from several mortgage lenders once you are past 2 payments behind you cannot refinance for a better interest rate UNTIL the existing loan is caught up.
The price of a barrel of oil has dropped $35 dollars in just the past month. Oil speculators are pulling back from their oil futures investments due to the speculation of future offshore oil drilling. John McCain believes in drilling everywhere it's safe while Obama cannot make up his mind on oil drilling. Just the realistic possibility of a John McCain energy administration has helped drive down the price of a barrel of oil along with the lower demand for crude oil and gasoline in recent weeks.
This is John McBush in his own words. No experience needed to press the play button and hear the original maverick flipity flopity all over the place...hahaha

uncleosbert,
Oh, I know what you're saying.
But I'm still a little pissed off at McCain for that dreadful 'Amnesty Bill' last year.
And Sarkozy has said that he wants to limit immigration to only accept those immigrants who want to integrate into France's culture.
Wow, can you imagine if a conservative advocated that here? Whew!
And Sarkozy also wants to limit & control free trade, with preferences given to domestic companies which create jobs.
But I will be voting for McCain.

uncleosbert,
Back in the 30's & 40's immigrants endeavored to blend into our American Culture, and learn to speak English.
The difference now, is this relatively new concept of encouraging 'Cultural Diversity'.
It sounds nice, but in reality it is simply a devaluation of our American Culture.
Immigrants now are demanding that we should learn *their* language, and accomodate *their* culture.
And I don't know what part of the country you're in, but I see signs that riots are not far off.

Amen.

actually, in the 30s and 40s we valued freedom less. my mother was beaten just for being left handed.
many people fleeing the holocaust were turned away for being undesirable. we took einstein but sent most of his cousins back to die.
i do not devalue american culture, when i recognize who have contributed most and expected the least.
be proud of your heritage, but don't reject the freedoms our culture claims to prize.
and who demands that you learn their language?

Help fix the housing problem by regulating the supply of housing by requiring all new buildings in America to have solar panels.
This is also going to help with the energy problems.
