Listen to Cold Spring Harbor or Streetlife Serenade, maybe some 52nd Street or Turnstiles, listen to any of his albums and you'll realize that he isn't copying the Beatles at all. Well on The Nylon Curtain he has a Beatlesque sound, but he has his own style in there as well. So you can't say he's been copying the Beatles his whole life. Might as well say every rock musician is copying the Beatles.

@PVMarando Well, it's 16 years now. Billy has stated before that he writes songs for his own gratification, what comes along with that is pretty much sugar frosting. I guess he's just not inspired enough these days. He pretty much wrote the soundtrack to many of our lives & for that we should all be eternally grateful. For someone with such immense talent & huge successes, he still strikes me as being totally insecure, but what the hell, hes' still the greatest thing to ever come out of NY!
