  • OMG, that's Bob Eubanks (Newlywed Game) doing the VO.

  • @RaineStudio You mean you think it sounds like him, but I never heard anyone factually state that.

  • @PoetOfTheSpheres Well no, I haven't seen his pay stub. :-) But the tone, cadence and vocal mannerism are totally Eubanks. Very common for guys (back then, at least) to work in radio, TV and miscellaneous voiceovers.

  • That's a terrific insight.

On behalf of all us fans; we thank you.

  • FINAL COMMENT: Additionally, Season One SS is filled with simplified re-dos of countless Goldenberg themes and motifs from the "Evil" telefilms, with Gary Collins' ESP rush a reworking of Diana Hyland's witchy vortex from "Ritual of Evil." Goldenberg also scored the original NIGHT GALLERY telefilm, GHOST STORY, several made-for-TV chillers (including DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK), and classic themes/scores for COLUMBO, KOJAK, HARRY-O, RHODA, and countless others NOT available on CD...

  • This theme was heard in its magnificent entirety (where the piece goes after the SS opening ends defies description!) as Gene Barry playing publisher Glen Howard is contemplating suicide in a dark fantasy moment. The truncated, slightly sparer version prepared for SS and showcased here replaced David Shire's original SENSE theme, which lasted about four episodes... (TO BE CONTINUED!)

  • The amazing music you hear was composed by Billy Goldenberg for "One of the Girls in Research," an episode of the brilliant-yet-rarely-seen series THE NAME OF THE GAME. It has an interesting history. Billy (a friend of mine) derived the theme during his "Fear No Evil"/"Ritual of Evil" period, which is why it works so well for a supernatural investigator... (TO BE CONTINUED!)

  • I love this show!!!! :)

  • @SixthSense1972 I agreee. It was one of a kind.

  • @ejrigby This show ruled! Loved it.

  • Aos fãs desta serie quem souber onde encontrar em DVD informe para todos nós, estamos ansiosos por isso!

Falo para minhas filhas desta serie, gostaria de compartilhar com elas , se possível nesta década!

  • "THE SIXTH SENSE"-The 1972 ABC/Universal TV series-and not to be confused

with the 1997 Bruce Willis movie,,was a very serious attempt at dramatizing the

world of ESP-going a bit further then John Newland's "ONE STEP BEYOND"

series of the early 60s-sure showed some class, with Gary Collins as Dr Micheal

    Rhodes,who took-up Para-psycology cases. this was a well written series,by

Anothony Lawrence, who created the show, and ran on ABC-TV throughout most

of 1972-it was also added with "NIGHT GALLERY"

  • Já acabou?

  • Sounds like Goldenberg's work. I love that sitar.

  • I really WISH I could obtain a copy of the Sixth Sense series WITHOUT the Night Gallery credits - in other words, just the Sixth Sense shows as they are shown in this upload.

  • @TheWaxworker i can help you with ONE. search youtube for "With Affection, Jack the Ripper"

  • Do you know where I could get this series, available in DVD? Thanks a lot...

  • The theme music was composed by Billy Goldenberg, veteran composer of many popular TV series including Columbo, Kojak, Harry O, and Rhoda among others.

  • @jdlewis007

Are you sure JD? There was no credit given when this theme debuted in around the 7th episode until the end of the first season. The second season had a completely different opening theme, and that was credited to Billy Goldenberg.

  • @ejrigby I've seen him credited for it in other places, but this clue I'm about to mention really clinches it for me in my opinion: If you ever have the chance, compare This version of The Sixth Sense theme to Billy Goldenberg's music score for the first season (1971) Columbo episode "Murder By The Book." Certain portions of the episode's music score are extremely similar to this version of The Sixth Theme. Check it out and let know what you think, I'd love to know!

  • @jdlewis007 Hi JD sorry about the late reply.

I'll definately look out for that. this is as big a mystery that only Colombo would solve. Weird how there no credit was givien except for the incidental music.

  • Please, somebody knows to say which to me is the name of this music or is only part of the series made for the TV.?!. Thanks

  • Please; the soundtrack recorded in vinyl?!.Thank

  • @Abranches77 no, as far as I know there are no CDs or LPs of this music.

  • Comment removed

    Terrifiant !!

  • This was my moms favorite TV show back in 1972. I wish they would put this on DVD!

  • It managed to make the idea of esp boring. Later sandwitched into the "Night Gallery" syndication package. Rod Serling demanded and got a dumpsterload of cash to do the "Gallery" intros for these cut-up turkeys.

  • I wish I could see this series again--it's hard to find
