If there are so many cars, you are probably on the wrong road. You should go for some lonely country roads in the hills... And there you would be probably better of with a supermotard. This video looks like some fucked up run on some bargain sale...

Stupid suzuki bikes with their shit handling. They should be sued for sending riders to their death and they HAVE. That goes for all jap bikes. Seems like only the Europeans understand that a bike is made to TURN.
i agree with that. the suspension of all suzuki's are all so weak, and they've been blamed for that many times, it really looks like they want you to get killed!
First off, nice vids guys. Are you clutching at all in those wheelstands ? I've got a VTR too and so far have just pulled em in 1st, on the power, pulls up really fuckin easy, but i get the shits sometimes and bring it down a bit hard, all experience i guess. I think the trouble with 1st as well is that its a shorter gear say than 2nd. Any tips on wheelstands on the VTRs ?
@Dave: Sit square and loft it clean in 1st, then you can shift to 2nd with your wheel in the air, + 3rd if you want. That or stand up and use the rebound of the forks to loft it up in 2nd. It's harder to shift to 3rd when standing, but you can find a nice balance point that you should be able to find a sweet spot with the throttle in 2nd. I'm guessing 65-70 on the vtr? Basically shove the front end down, wait for the rebound, and throttle it where the power snaps and pulls hardest in your revs.
Thanks, thats good advice. haha as it turns out i'm now riding a '05 Kawa ZX6R .. and thats a completely different kettle of fish when it comes to wheelstands ! Am getting a steering damper put on first to keep that wheel nice and straight before i try anything serious ... but i definitely think the vtr is a wheelstand machine, so i'm some ways i was sad to see it go !
@Dave: I practiced lofting the front wheel about a foot off the ground as far as I could, and just brought it higher and higher the more comfortable I got.
Just remember to put even weight on the pegs, bars, and seat (u won't think about it after awhile). Also practice getting used to relying on the rear brake if you bring it up too far/fast.
These guys are all riding like Gits ..

Comparing the WSBK grid to riding like this on public streets is like comparing one's hiney to one's pie-hole.
