Thank you guys for helping to inform everyone on the importance of recycling. If we can help teach students how they can do their part, they will hopefully take those lessons with them on their paths in life. Keep up the good work!
Recyling is a solution to a problem that does not exist. Penn and Teller say it much better than I can in their show about recycling. They talk about all the myths of recycling. For a few things such as alluminum, recycling is cost effective and market driven. In other cases, much time and effort are required to get a lesser product from recycling when the raw materials may be abundant and relativly cheap.
It does however make those who participate feel good about themselves.
I promote recycling in the UK. I noticed that you don't have a link in the description of your video and was wondering if you would place a link in there to one of my websites?
This is literally 30 secs work for you and I will send you $20 instantly via paypal once done.
I will also add your youtube link or website into about 500 article directories, so you will receive more traffic.
@adamtr1121 We all can pick up the dixie cup, but who's going to pick up after BP? Things like reusable grocery bags (which typically offsets less than 1% of their contents) only places the blame and the attention on the individual when the corporation is nine tenths the problem.
@nametroubles No heres the thing i do recycle Ecerything i can, i do all the time and i do better recycing then you will ever do.your problem is you think you can do better. no one can do better. i cant.
I have no clue where you got the idea that I do better, my point was that in one day industry produce more pollution than an entire community of individuals ever will. you've bought into their scam to hold you responsible for the mess they created. All the while recycling gives us the illusion of "doing our part" while not putting a hole into putting a hole into their single serve profits.
You know. If we just used less shit, we wouldn't need to recycle as much - Recycling isn't a free lunch and contributes it's own pollution. It is also incorrect to assume that all potential energy is conserved in the process of recycling.
Reduce, Reuse and THEN Recycle. Recycling should be the last part of the equation after you've done the other parts. Recycling is just easier, but recycling alone will not solve the problem.
