Very nice work... You did a quality restoration Sir. Nice to see there are folks out there that take pride in what they touch. Congrats you have a very nice craft, ready to enjoy for many more years to come!
well done !!! my dad had one in the 70s,in the UK. was in the harbour with a cover on, filled with water , and rolled over, Not funny !! but was OK. amazing boat, seemed to remember you had to keep the power on to turn,, sounded amazing, Ok when fuel was cheaper,, we are now paying over £1.30 a litre,,, around $10.30 a gallon !!! here in the UK,,
GREAT JOB,doesn't it make you feel good fixing up something old with one foot in the grave! Especially when none believers say it can't be done.It just goes to show you what a man with a dream and ambition can accomplish!!!Enjoy that boat.
WOW amigo.....congratulations for this fantastic job..I have learned from your video too...very soon I will start a restoration on my old 64 Glasspar AVALON ,and seen this really encourages me to do so...even that I am totally clueless of how to do it,,I guess i will work around thinks as they come along...lol....enjoy and feel very proud of this boat when you are in any lake........good luck
Absolutely superb job! You have every right to be PROUD of your accomplishment. My dad died when I was 16. We spent a lot of time on the lake. Just saying that it is more than just a boat. It is your dad, your memories and a BIG part of your life. Enjoy your "new" boat!
I love the story behind this boat. The fact that you found the exact same boat your dad owned is amazing. There was a CV-21 in my past (the green one in my video) that I think about all the time. I search craigslist everyday hoping to find it and restore it like the way you did to this boat. Nice work btw!
Nice Work Parsel, and I really dig the video and all the blood and sweat that went into the project!!! Can't believe that you never told me about this vid and more importantly that you were working with an exotic "Avious Media Demo" chick, Hot Voice on the video....
The engine is soundin lean and mean and I can't wait to see her in her glory this summer! Also, think of my craftiness everytime you put the hammer down....
Nice Job, I grew up on the same boat but its a 72 and my dad still has it. Its not the original "green" anymore but now has updated colors. It was my dads dream to get this same boat and put twin 350's in it with jet pumps. Well after finding the same hull from a 74 and 11 year project he finally finished it. My brother now has a 71 and I have the same 74 21' cv and they are all restored. Care to see any pictures leave a post with your e-mail address.
Excellent, what a great journey. Your family had her, she was sold, tossed aside and you saved it. I have a similiar situation with a 1976 Glastron V173 Bayflight with a 1976 Johnson 115. Actually, it is a neighbors boat, but sitting for 30 years, I want to buy it and restore it back to its glory day. :)
A couple of years ago at Center Hill Lake in Tennessee I saw a boat called a Dixie Devil. They were made here. I believe it was based on the Glastron Carlson. A hot looking boat. I started searching for one and discovered the Glastron Carlsons. I'm gonna get one someday.
Congrats on a great restoration and thanks for sharing. I especially appreciate your statement on not listening to the naysayers, and then going for it that much harder. Inspiration.

The avs media demo woman frustrated me.
That is a very sweet looking boat. I love the lines. That james bond chase scene has a lot of cool glastrons. I love the black cv especially.
Very nice work- well worth the effort.

Thanks for the kind words, it's hard to see the end of the project sometimes. But definitely worth it when you finish something like this.
