  • It seems that R Wyatt and soft Machine were not prophets in their own country. R Wyatt is so revered with such a loyal fan base in France. Anyway i love the man!

  • Father time has so changed Robert - as he has all of us. It's really strange to wake up one day and realize that, not only is your youth long gone, but that you've begun to think of music you discovered back then in more of a historical context. Rock music is a great example: Sure, there are still snippets of great rock being made, but it's certainly no longer the choice of the masses, not the mainstay of record companies. Vintage rock music's true ZENITH was really over by the mid-70s!

  • i love brio! but i love robert wyatt more

  • What a lovely human being. Simply wonderful.

  • Great interview, love the bit about each generation creating their own music and how it's not necesserely meant for YOU to like.

  • Amazing how this lovely guy tells an anecdote of the sense of wonder and beautifully segues into an observation about national identity.
