@jpdt007 you can use stairs too, just make sure you start very slowly as your legs become familiar with the moves, it also helps a lot, I use the stairs to go to the metro (the people that goes around gives me a weird look), I count 30 up´s and take time to see if I was better than the time before, and believe me, ...it really exhausts you...also don´t forget to stretch at the beginning and at the end...try and let me know, and sure you won´t be disappointed
