Robert E Lee was first to approach the communion bar at Grace Episcopal, with a lone Blak man, after the war. In the Slave narratives, 40-50% of former slaves said life was better under slavery. No Yankee official ever said he would end slavery prior to the war. Lincoln's US Marshals captured and returned runaway slaves for the first 2 yrs of the war. Many AAs fought against the North. AAs were lynched in NYC during the war. Grant said if this war be about slavery, I will resign my commission and fight for the other side. &etc

Funny -- Davis told his wife that they would be in White House in Washington City soon -- because Davis and other traitors had made plans to invade and take it over.

The original capital was in Montgomery. It was moved to Richmond in May of 1861.

American president -- wrong dumb ass. Most of history of Civil War was written by the losers -- Davis for example, wrote thousands upon thousands of pages -- a dozen books.

The South wanted to cover up their shit -- slavery -- massive desertions -- surrendering. Things like Davis running away in a dress is almost always hidden, as South using over a million slaves to build earthworks you hid behind, and to do almost all the work during the war.
