she is good at singing country folk style, she has a special singing style however this kind of singing not only in Tibet but also in some rural area of China like Yuan nan and Kwangsi called mountain songs, besides that I don't think she can handle other kind of songs. Han Hung sings in classic style has more technics and wider range of singing,
han hung sings in classic style, and soinam sings in country folk style, the 2 singers are in different style, should not compare who is better, depends on what you like.

her voice is so lovely I love her voice with all my hearts...I think tibetan, chinese, and miao are so sexy when they sing...so gentle and genuine personality.
to me the most wonderful singer in the world. I've listened to dozens of versions of天路 performed by 索朗旺姆 and other singers from YouTube, and this one seems the best. Even the crowd's cheering cannot hide the sky-breaking vibration from her singing. However, her 青藏高原 seems still better! Not sure how much she has been affected by commercialism, but if so, that will only make this video more precious. 剎那即永恆, there is little we can ask beyond that.

Since the world's standard still prefer Han Hong and Soinam is not allow to travel around the world like Mr. Wang or Tan Wei Wei, she unfortunately will not be internationally recognized. May be this is the way to get international recognition just like Susan Boyle and Lin Yu Chun..

@sobefobik But this is Tibetan dress. Observe many of the other Tibetan videos here and you will see this. It is not Plains Cree, or Sioux, or any of the other tribes I can think of, and not Pueblo either. It is Tibetan.

China is home to many ethnic groups, Tibetans, Mongolians, Hans etc, just as America is home to African, Asian and Hispanic Americans. Alan is a proud Tibetan, but at the same time she is a proud Chinese as well, and there is nothing wrong with that.....

其实为民俗付出很多了 不清楚的别瞎说 好多少数民族的传统文化的遗失 极大程度上源自人们自身的欲望导致的对利益的追求 就像我们这里的地方戏种基本绝迹了 以前带班的那个女的也开始唱流行歌参加商演了 原因很简单 可以赚更多的钱 很难做到现在将一个少数民族孤立出去着重发展自身文化 而不使其在经济发展的大局中掉队 而经济落后又会影响地区的安定 所以任何时期为传统文化的继承和发展做出贡献的人都是值得敬佩的

Han Hong is half Tibetian. Her techniques are completely different. If she PK Soinam Wangmo she will lose for sure. Have you check out Ah Bao's PK performance against Soinam? Since the world's standard still prefer Han Hong and Soinam is not allow to travel around the world like Mr. Wang or Tan Wei Wei, she unfortunately will not be internationally recognized. May be this is the way to get international recognition just like Susan Boyle and Lin Yu Chun..

@Thormander113 索朗旺姆 has the best version of this song. Han Hong would be the second best. 索朗旺姆's voice is so inspiring and huntingly beautiful. Her voice is best for this song with Tibetan flavor.

@cehejia they're not seperatists, they are feudal products that had a falling out with the central government when slavery was ordered abolished. They then ran when they should have been persecuted by law, and their cause became to seperate
