My friend suggested that it should be def and spirit first... then at lvl 20 leave def. Then concetrate on strength and spirit...???

pretty much yes, all classes need def and should have atleast 20points in it.

for a Knife go Spirit or Crit, Beuwulf im not so sure but its either Str or Crit 1 or the other not both, Gatling...lol i never used a gun in GhostX xD but i would recommend spirit for that

umm....u get some army shorts at...lvl 15 or 20 i think and hip hop and loose pants/shorts 3x....so gogo grind =P

At high levels you get skills to reduce GP costs (by a max of 20% and to get GP from hitting enemies.. also by a random chance.

That's not a knife, that's a sword. Knives are the big ones that you carry over your head. It doesn't make much sense for the big ones to be called knives, but they are.
