I know that many will disagree, but 17th, 18th and 19th century American Protestant hymns have a dignity to them that (in my opinion) some new hymns or contemporary pop renditions of old hymns lack. They were sung in worship, for the purpose of praise, not as "entertainment". This version of this hymn by the Boston Camerata is, like all of their music, wonderful.
Wonderful old carol. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
