  • @panchociarer

There is maybe one or two similarities. It's a matter of what other music you're used to, maybe.

  • Epic....

  • @KandyKidraver15 u think so ? I've always speculated, her "I'm Not Done" almost takes me over, not to mention "When I Grow Up". What are the signs, if you don't mind sharing ?

  • demon music, I thinks she's a witch.... all the signs are there.

  • @KandyKidraver15

Those words are exactly what is wrong with the world.

    Shame on you.

  • @KandyKidraver15 You don't even understand what a witch is.

  • @KandyKidraver15 You don't even understand what a witch is.

  • Karen I adore your work! You are so unique and artistic! Wish i can see you live

  • So is this the same girl that sing in Ryoksopp?!

  • @IamChavez yes, Karin Dreijer Andersson

  • @IamChavez oh woah ur right..just made the connection. it all makes sense now. lol. it IS her! <3

  • wow . finally i found something unique to listen , im tired of commercal stuff

  • cool song :)

  • love this song.......

  • kinda has a "depeche mode - never let me down again" vibe...but very good song none the less.

  • olof är oni ayhun

  • "I've got a Friend who i've known since I was seven" me too, but he shagged me wife!.

  • favourite line:

    "we tallllk about loooove,

    we tallllk about dishwasher tablets"

  • Excellent music if I had not watched Bones I never would have found any of her music again excellent

  • i m really in love with fever ray ( the knife) i cant annoy me to listening them. never! <3

  • FR is a pearl on this all music shit.

  • This song has a very elegant beat to it.

  • oo shit this is sicko badass!!!

  • she sounds so sexy

  • Did i just hear a lyric about dishwasher tablets?! I think she works for the Fairy Dishwasher Tablet Company when shes not recording eargasmic music.

  • Seeing this at EP blew the mind!

  • if we had time!

  • This is the best song! Unfortunately there will be never ever a better song :(.

I can't imagine a better song by Fever Ray.

  • @DionysosFX dude have you heard that song off the red riding hood trailer...its pretty awesome!!

  • @DionysosFX sometimes artists surprises us!

  • Chino also brought me here, very nice

  • ...talking about love...talking about dishwash tablets

  • Huge Deftones Fan... Chino Moreno brought me here. this is one of his fav albums and i fuckin love it! Thanks Chino :) <3

  • @heathsousads That's actually pretty cool! It's been so long since an album has blown me away like Fever ray did and still does

  • @gzussturbo I know. im completely blown away and amazed for a 14 yo

  • hello this is opalsky and i want to tell you all that loving fever ray, indeed enlightens us more. thank you karin.

  • So nice! LIke!

  • BUENÍSIMO!!

  • so geil zum wegachüüün, i love this song !

  • This sounds quite a lot like ' When I grow up'.

  • since i heard this song, it has consumed my mind - i love it!!

  • she is a half of of the knife ,,, she and her brother is the knife , now she is a solo artist and a great artist i must add!!!!!!!

  • @FractalZero She was originally in the knife actually :) I read it some where.

  • FR and TK are essentially the same, there's no point in trying to differentiate

  • @FractalZero this statement makes me want to cry and throw up at the same time

  • @FractalZero no no no, the knife is both karin and her brother. Fever Ray is karin's solo band and royksopp is her brother's solo band. So that might explain why they all have a similiar sound, however some of royksopp's songs feature karin and vice versa

  • @bsmerek Err, Röyksopp is Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland. Karin's brother, Olof Dreijer, is not part of Röyksopp.

  • @FractalZero Not entirely true...Fever Ray has more of an acoustic atmospheric feel...whereas The Knife are more electronic with a more upbeat tempo

  • @koriatherman

Why not share with us some of your musical taste, koriatherman.

  • @koriatherman you are a tool.

  • Sounds like the Knife...is this the knife?

  • @BinMac

    most certainly is

  • @FractalZero it isnt the knife, its fever ray..

fever ray is part of the knife however...

  • @FractalZero It's the sister from the knife.

  • @FractalZero @BinMacas the title of the video says it's FEVER RAY!

'Fever Ray is a solo project of karin dreijer andersson, former singer of the 90's Grunge/Pop Band Honey is Cool and one half of The Knife.' (from lastfm.de)

  • @FractalZero the difference is Fever Ray is the solo project of Karin Andersson, whereas the knife is Andersson and her brother Olof Dreijer.

  • @FractalZero half of it. the serrated side.

  • @envyjoy

Well that's one way of putting it!

  • @BinMac

No, no. It's not the Knife. This is Fever Ray, the solo project of Karin Dreijer Andersson, vocalist of the Knife, thus the similarity. ;)

  • its not the knife, its the girl from the knife.

  • @BinMac She is the other half of The Knife :)

  • @BinMac It's the solist project of the singer of the knife, Karin, Karim, I don't remember.

  • @BinMac it's a former singer from the knife -.-

  • @BinMac

    same singer

  • @BinMac only half. the other is her brother.

  • @BinMac The Knife was Karen and her brother Olaf, Fever Ray is her solo project I do believe.

  • @BinMac Well, no. Its not 'The Knife". It's Fever Ray. The woman is also a part of The Knife but this is her solo act.

  • @BinMac It's Karin from The Knife, so it's half of the Knife, if you will.

  • @BinMac Close, she's one half of The Knife.

  • @BinMac she's a part of the duo the knife ( with his brother )

  • @BinMac Is the singer solo project.

  • why does this sound like santa gold .... im heated

  • sublime

  • Holy moly

  • Dieser Song begleitet mich schon seit Wochen... Ich liebe ihn einfach :)

  • ....its good but not my style

  • @XjackieXsunshineX too progressive? or u just like to adhere to typical standards?

  • I like how people are nagging on you for saying its not your style... this band is not many peoples style its not bad, but a lot of people wouldn't have the taste for this even if you like progressive.

  • well, thanks for passing by?

  • This is music nirvana.............lyrics are just as sharp....I have been listening to this album for inspiratrion..superb.

  • Melts in your Mind, not in your Hand.

  • best song on the album. i am going to name my baby Seven.

  • or Soda

  • @YouAreAKunt or soda!

  • how about mug? mug costanza!

  • @YouAreAKunt or Ketchup! pretty name for a girl!

  • @YouAreAKunt You are a Kunt.

  • @elyasis huh?? ohhh i seee what you did there! X-D

  • @YouAreAKunt

    haha. i want to, too!

I always thought "Seven" was a cool name, but everyone keeps saying "Why the hell would you name a child after a number?"

  • @YouAreAKunt Seinfeld...

  • @YouAreAKunt george constanza will be angry

  • @YouAreAKunt how about soda? it's a beautiful name

  • @YouAreAKunt yea name your baby seven thats really clever and good for your babe

  • @Taunt61 Kids with interesting names, as long as raised to have a strong mind, are some of the most confident and beautiful children out there.

  • Comment removed

  • @Tr3apy strong mind? hmm, expecting a child to cope with a name like that and daily ridicule from age 3 on seems unplausible for me, it will be torture until he just doesn't care. every person has got the right to change his name once he is 18. so why force this punishment on him, just because you have a thing for a weird name. whatever, maybe i'm just not hippie enough.

  • I agreed with kidrad1 that fever ray she does sound a lot like smoosh and that an collaboration would be super cool!

uhh and by the way she is in fact from sweden!

  • If I may, I would like to say that this sounds like the Seattle Indie band Smoosh. Who also live sometimes in Sweden. I know Fever Ray is from Norway.... This is reminiscent of a more sophisticated Smoosh. The two bands should collaborate on an album. This is quite good!

  • Comment removed

  • @kidrad1

Fever Ray aka Karin Dreijer andersson is Swedish. ;)

  • Okay... I am just learning of them, her.. thanks.

  • Fever Ray is from sweden

  • remixes by seth troxler and martyn is hot shit

  • Der Song ist sowas von geil zum abchillen.

Und der Sender auf dem dieses Lied gespielt wird, der einzig ernst zu nehmende in Österreich.

    F M 4 !!!!!!!!!

  • there is a new version of seven played by "the Knife" but i dont know where to find it.....anyone have an idea of what i'm talkin about?

  • could be a remix...

  • "the Knife" IS Fever Ray, well first she & her brother were called "the Knife", then she went solo as far as I understand

  • Good vibes!

    See you later.

    :]

  • looks like a

  • So much like my dear sweet Faith, I want to kill the man that holds her and take her away to the woods so no one can see us.

  • and wine is sometimes similar to vinegar piss

  • i never noticed that til i listened again. i can sorta hear it. :)

  • The beginning of this song sounds like the music for the Crash Bandicoot 2 level "Bee-having"

  • @stuffums

    Mind = blown

  • Rewelacja

  • no rewelacja i jej głos

  • The actual video for this is awesome.

  • Great!!!!

    Simply the BEST!!!

  • the knife are just on hiatus, aren't they????

  • ahhh amaazing lyrics. i loveeeeeeeee

  • I think it sucks that The Knife doen´t exist anymore and i never saw them live. IT was fucking genious

  • The knife do still exist, they are currently doing the music for an opera and will be releasing music again in 2010 so dont fret!! Fever Ray is just the side project whilst they have a bit of time off!

  • You don't know that for sure. In fact they just finished an electro-opera inspired by Darwin not too long ago.

  • I'm in love with her voice, definitely.

  • amazing..definitely my favourite.. I will see it live on friday yeah:)

  • this is fucking awesome!!! gives me hopes!! there's still new good music out there!!!

  • Hammersong!!!

  • du hast guten Geschmack, der song ist geil!

  • very awesome indeed!

  • Funny but true...

Heard this at PF Changs last week. File under "You know you've made it when..."

  • is this some of the band the knife?

  • Yes. It is singer Karin Elisabeth Dreijer Andersson

  • thank you.

  • karin drejier?? the singer from röyksopp~what else is there??

  • Yes

  • yup the one and only

  • The female from the knife , karin has made this solo album yes.

  • the perfect song ,it matches my personality

how can you not like the megic seven?

    <3

  • !! I say, heard it on erockster today. Had to find it.

  • A lot of mainstream music gets on my nerves b/c it all souns alike---One of the many reasons i love this song is that is so unique--nothing like it!!

  • so true i cant stand mainstream because there is no individuality anymore.. i dont know what happened to music..therefore im so thankful for artists who follow their own path such as The Knife, Boards Of Canada, Fever Ray, Royksopp etc. for keeping music alive :)

  • Couldn't have said it better myself!!!!!

  • So tru, mainstream music has really taken a turn for the worst. I LOVE Boards of Canada, I also like imogen heap-she's a wierd one but her music is awsome...

  • hahah wierd is good it adds flavor and punch:)

  • MASTERPIECE

  • yeh she got me hooked too....

  • Her music took me quite a few times of listening until it got me. Now it won't let me go anymore.

  • best song from the album

  • ich mag fever ray eigentlich nicht aber dieses lied ist der hammer^^

  • I leave home at seven

Under a heavy sky, I ride my bike up, I ride my bike down

November smoke and your toes go numb

A new colour on the Globe

It goes from white to red, a little voice in my head says oh, oh, oh

I know it, I think I know it from a hymn

They've said so, it doesn't need more explanation

A box to open up with light and sound

    And if you don't

    You're on your own

  • I've got a friend who I've known since I was seven We use to talk on the phone, if we have time, if it's the right time Accompany me by the kitchen sink We talk about love, we talk about dishwasher tablets, illness And we dream about heaven I know it, I think I know it from a hymn They've said so, it doesn't need more explanation A box to open up with light and sound Making you cold Very cold I leave home at seven Under a heavy sky, I ride my bike up, I ride my bike down
