Rooney is incredible, probably the hardest working striker on the face of the planet, not the most gifted, that'd be Ronaldinho, but Rooney puts more in for the team. I'd love to one day think they could play for the same team, as the two attacking midfielders in a 4-3-2-1, just behind a natural goalscorer, someone like Villa, Torres, Drogba. Never gonna happen though unfortunately.

I think Rooney has the potential to be a great player, but people forget his age. Also i think he's often subjected to bias views due to his temperament, as well as his style of play not being obviously spectacular as other players, e.g Ronaldo. But if you watch him play enough, and try and get past the chav in him then, most people will see he's a great player in the making
