Ohhh yeahh i remember this im pretty sure i was at my friends house and when the storm was over we saw a broken house and there was a huge tree pulled out of the ground like you can see the roots it was that day or 2 years ago cuz i was at my cousins house over last summer

I loved it. I work as a lifeguard for the city, and when the storm hit, we lost power for about 2 1/2 weeks. I got to run around working for parks dept, electric, building maintenance doing clean up and assisting. They even gave me my own city truck to use to get around in. I put in so many hours that summer... We had to take part of a HUGE tree out of some girls car, it was destroyed. Beautiful destruction, think it'd be fun to do again.

the whole south of town was fucked up..it was bad..but hel it was pretty neat looking..if u didnt know what was goin on lol.. bible beaters..ha ya know most of this town may say there a bible beater but there all hypocrites here..no offense to neone that isnt..but yea.. we may be a small ass tow but boy do we know how to have a good time. :)

Can someone tell me which part of Altus was filmed I read that the southeast part of town was hit. I lived there 79-83 and all I could remember in that part of town was the Red Roof Inn, VFW building w/ the tank outside, and the Altus drive-in theater or was someone talking about the area near Missile Park.

we figure it was a wind wall...years ago I was out west near the tracks and a 'wall' hit and it threw the box cars off of the tracks...box cars don't weigh very much but still...it is what it is

We were in an airstream on ridgecrest when the wall hit, you could feel the air depressing right then-ears shutting...but it was all really something....

I remember driving around afterwards and just crying. Crying b/c I was so thankful that no one was hurt and 2 b/c it was hard to see the town so torn up.

One of the rotations was over my house and we prayed and it went back up so don't tell me that the Lord doesn't hear our prayers!!!

its a shame the storm didnt wipe altus off the map. i spent six months there (against my will) and it was six months way too freakin long. i can only hope that my dream will one day be realized. altus just plain sucks.
