i just waqtched ashow last night that talked about her clothes and they had one of her actual dresses, it was bought from a antique shop in 1925 and the woman who designed it was the very first haute couture dress make, i guess she was the best seamstress in europe

Does anyone know where I can buy a dress that looks a lot like one of those? I want to be her for a ball, but I kan only find short dresses that ae made of some of the ugliest fabrics ever! I can seem to find anything like the ones in the movie? i am historian... please note that the dresses have many errors and the film in general,,, milena canonero didn't repruduced the dresses neither the colors... all those pinks and pastels... marie antoinette was a woman of red and blue, very fashionable colors of the period... search on youtube portraits of her,, you will see the real marie antoinette, not a 21 th century version of her!!! BUT I LOVED THE FILM, its a pop stylized version. DONT USE IT FOR RESEARCHING THE 18TH CENTURY... :)

I used to work at the National Art Center in Ottawa in the costume department, but never worked on such beautiful costumes as these. I would have loved to have worked on designing or sewing these lovely gowns. Wonderful to see them.

my favorite dress of the whole movie was at 00:22 the beautiful blue, and the wonderful hat. so simple for this time period of French culture. I love this video by the way, great song. I give this song 10 KUDOS! XD
