  • I think the scene in the 4th film where Indy tells that student that sometimes you have to get out of the library was one of the funniest sceens in the movie.

    Still makes me grin :)

  • I think it would have done better if Indy had been more like his dad was in the 3rd. They could have still had him be part of the adventure, but he wouldn't be the central strong man. I keep thinking of that scene in the 3rd where his dad takes down that plane by scaring the birds on the beach. That was a great scene. It was smart, regardless of its plausibility. I think if Indy had recaptured a bit of his youth but NOT TOO MUCH, it would have been similar to that.

  • I didn't like it because Indy hadn't changed enough. He was still cracking his whip. I didn't buy it because his dad in the 3rd film was the same age as he is playing himself in the 4th! He's too old for that. Develop his character further! Lucas didn't grow up and wasn't man enough to evolve it beyond the initial scope. Apparently, nobody opposed him. This disconnection can be seen elsewhere in the film too. It was just too shallow for me.

  • yeah i enjoyed it it was awesome so fuck off critics steven spielberg and george lucas knows what they r doin i mean watch there movies!

  • According to "Movie Talk" Harrison told People Magazine he is willing to crack the whip and sport the trademark fedora in a 5th sequel. Harrison says, "Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the 5th adventure will concern and George is actively at work." Harrison also says, If the script is good, I'll be happy to put the constume on again." I hope Shia is in it.

  • Wait you actually want shias charechter in it. mutt williams ruined the 4th indy film. what kind of fan are you who like mutt!? i bet your one of these kids that onyl became a fan because of the new shiny film. i had to wait 10 years since when i was six and became a super fan, 10 years of fandom with hardly anything new indywise comming out then when we get another indy adventure its ruined by a idiot who swings on vines with monkeys! worst scene ever!

  • comic, yes I want Shia's character in the film, if you don't that's ok and it is also ok if I want him in it.

  • its really not tough, the fourth film was a j oke because of mutt williams, shia isnt a bad actor he was just given a terrible charechter

  • comic, Gees, I liked the part he played, if you didn't fine. I'm not replying to anymore of your comments.

  • cool

  • No matter how many times i see this trailer it still kicks ass

  • I can't help but be skeptical over what happened in the climax, but Indiana Jones has always played with mythical objects and done supernatural things like that.

All in all, critics need to loosen up and enjoy.

  • How can people hate indiana jones.

Man this guy does acting better than ur so called godfathers of bullshit CGI movies.

  • Call yourself whatever you want dude, but until you disprove those points you'll never be considered an ACTUAL Indy fan, by those of us who are.

  • Oh my god they ruined indy....what the hell was the stunt with the fridge,,,and his son swinging through the trees like tarazan.... they ruined what should and could have been another classic indy....shame on u speilberg and co....u forgot what made your movies great .

  • A year later and still with this crap.

Fridge - We don't need to see the other fridges that survived, only Indy's and it's as simple as bracing your leg on the other side of the fridge for support. Easily understood.

Vines - Are you blind? Indy did this in Raiders at the very beginning, seems only right that his son can do it too, don't you think.

  • Yes I am tired of this movie being bashed. What do people want from an action movie? Stupid really....they have problems with people hiding in a Fridge but not escaping from the Hindenburg in a Triplane......or finding a magical rock in India while fighting a guy who rips hearts out of people.....or surviving lighting bolts shot out of the Ark of the Covenant???

    Get real.....

  • Oooops I forgot one....how did he survive the trip on the submarine to the secret Nazi sub base? I guess he could hold his breath for a looooong time.

See what I mean? ITS AN ACTION MOVIE YOU ZOMBIES!!!!

  • Exactly my point.

We grew up watching the first 3 when we didn't know any better. We just took in everything the movie had and never thought the wiser, and today, we still believe it to be epic. Now put out a brand new film thats just like the others and people nitpick it death. WHY? Just as the situations you described, the scenes people hate in 4 are no different in terms of believability than the other 3 films, we only think they do.

    Long live Indy 4!

  • Where did I bash it? The Indiana Jones SERIES is one of my all-time favorites. And clearly you have no idea what the point of any of the films are, so I'll enlighten you.

1-3, set in the 30's. After WWI before WWII, was the great depression, people looked up for help, all the serials back then were the same way as the films.

4, set in the 50's. after the 47 incident, every freaking movie had aliens in it back then. Look it up.

These films are based on the decade they came from.

  • I have been enlightened by Indiana Jones through the first 3... I don't need to be enlightened by bastards who call shit-stained crap like Kingdom of the Crystal Skull better than the Indiana Jones TRILOGY!!

  • Then you clearly

A: Don't understand the point of the series

B: Don't notice anything wrong in the first three

C: Are not an Indiana Jones fan

    D: have no imagination

E: Like so many other people, have forgotten what an adventure film is all about

F: The most likely reason, hate GL, so you already hate I4

  • All the 6 points you mentioned are bullshit!!! I am a pure Indy fan and by being an Indy fan I mean I am a fan of the first 3 which I actually call Indiana Jones!!

  • Not bad, i like the set up..yeah, n the mayan temple.

  • hated this film it has convinced me that mr lucas can no longer write for shit

  • You should see "Indiana Jones and a Day at the Office"

  • wonderful movie ever

  • Hi, if you like adventure short-movies with 3D special effects, click on my nick. I hope you enjoy! :)

  • nice

  • No, it was JUNE 22! At this very hour! Another chance to "start again!" Futile endeavor it proved to be!

  • It was sort of a let down. It focused too much on all the cliche' elements that they thought would be cool so it all rather came off random, also to see Harrison Ford running around as an OLD MAN was just sad, I was worried he was going to break a hip without is walker.

  • i first saw this in MArch

  • Well hopefully Spielberg will take some of the cheese out of the B-movies.
