  • At least this video has some hot babes, unlike 'Rock me Tonight', but it's just about as dull. These guys sucked at making music videos.

  • For those of you brining being gay up. Whether he is gay or not is pointless. Freddy Mercury was gay and he is one of the greatest frontmen in the history of music, maybe even the best frontman ever.

  • @madkins44 thumbs up many, many times to above statement! btw, i think Billy is married to a women.

  • the look he gives the camera at 2:43 KILLS me! makes me swoon like an idiot teenage girl! Billy is/was hot and talented! *sigh*

  • just googled images of him and DAMN he is still hot!

  • gay or not the dude can rock it but seen a article said billy lived in ny with his girl friend

  • @jwf71070 Not gay at all ...married to Nicole from Germany.

  • first time to see this video....great video and song!

  • This is actually the shortened version of the song.

  • So what if he is gay; or not. Get off your trips ppl. WTF???

  • i like his music but i still think he's gay.

  • @captainstab2003 What proof do you have telling you he is gay.

  • @Corleone2239 Watch the video for "Rock Me Tonight"

  • @mamacornettesmoney I saw that video when it first came out. All that shows is that he is a nerdy white guy prancing around his bedroom. Watch friends or Seinfeld. Can white people be any more nerdy. I'm Sicilian not white.

  • Billy knew he really had to butch it up after the fiasco that was the Rock Me Tonight video

  • '90!!! He knew we were ready for wet girls in bikinis!!!

  • I'm just so glad I got to see him LIVE Rock Me......

  • What year was this video made?

  • @JanetEsq 89'

  • One of Billy's best!

  • I still have the cassette single for this; the B-side was a badass jam of Billy's called "Too Much". For years you could never find it anywhere, which is why I kept the tape, but the good news is its now on his website as a download. Highly recommended as a rare track if you've never heard it.

  • wtfhell

why l couldn't find this video when l typed first DON'T SAY YOU LOVE ME ?

you know l had to type BILLY SQUIER too

  • he rooks

  • This, everyone, is what redemption looks like.

  • LOVE this song

  • Sheesh,,, the memories!!!!!!!! Makin me feel young again!! Thanks for the video!!!!

  • Forgot all about this song! Thanks for posting.

  • LOVE this sone, vid & pride of Wellesley Squier...Alas, it was too little too late to stem the bleeding from the RMT Video fiasco.

  • Yeah freakin awesome! Did anyone notice the HOT blonde in the "Don't Say You Love Me" video is CINDY MARGOLIS??!! It's quick shots but it's most definitely Cindy Margolis! Funny back then when Billy Squier was HOT prob was a BIG deal to her to get this video. And now for years nobody would know if Billy was pumpng your gas & Cindy has maintained her celebrity & still one of the HOTTEST women on the planet! Give me right arm to have her "pump" me!

  • @sparkyguyguy Most downloaded woman of all time? Her claim to fame? I don't think she's all that hot

  • Freaking awesome!

    I love Billy!

  • Im 43 and still listen to Billy. Those days in my 76 Bandit Trans Am cruisin the strip for chicks. Nothin like the feel of a T/A, Tops out, a stereo system and Billy hittin the Base to this song. Never forget it. Thanks Billy!!

  • Kicks out the the jam, more than contemporaries do!!!

  • " You can't get up"?? Sure you can! Just watch the women in this video!!

  • What yr did this come out? This is a good little jam thnx for posting!

  • @blackdog3030 1989

  • can someone give me this as a mp3

  • @nickricc15 if you had firefox you could convert it to an mp3 :D

  • esta cancion se parece a rainbow in the rose de winger pero bueno esta musica es muy parecida a winger

  • Billy Rocks!

Saw him open up for Queen in August of 82 at the Garden. He kicked Major Ass!

  • Bobby chouinard most underated rock drummer of all time. Pounded the hell out of those basic kits. He rates up there with John bonham! Shame he's not around anymore.

  • @tumisbrian I agree! Bobby Chouinard= Awesome drummer!

  • hell yeah!!

  • This song ROCKS !!! Billy rocks.. Glad to be sharing part of Upper West Side Manhattan with him for the best years in N.Y.C. Rock scene.. SALUTE !!!!!! BILLY YOU ROCK !!!

  • Alan St. Jon is HOT!!!

  • GOD YES!

  • Don't say you love me! Just say Huuugh!!Say it again:Huuugh!!

  • Bily Squier - the best rocker

  • I just don't get it??? If you don't like the music...leave.

Yet instead you take the time to fabricate some of the stupidest insult shit.

Don't keep comparing apples and oranges and start realizing...you're just a douche!

  • Mean looks. Hot Chicks. Not Rock Me Tonight. I'm all for it.

  • Billy Squier Rock ! I've Seen His Rock Me Tonight Video, It's Not That Bad. It Could've Been Done Better, And Why Do Some People Label Him Gay When He's Nothing But Good Old Fashion Skirt Chaser. Sad How Insecure People Have Become Nowaday. Rock On!!!

  • This must have been after the Lonely is the Night video. Unfortunately all the hot girls in the world couldn't make people forget how gay that was.

  • I absolutely love him and his music!! I could watchi his videos all night long!

  • This song rocks the house, but by this time, most hardcore rock fans were convinced he was gay and faking the attitude. He wasn't, of course, but the Rock Me Tonite video killed him. Funny how he started including LOTS of hot women in his videos after the Kenny Ortega disaster of 84.

  • The drummer died a few years back. He was with Billy from day one. Billy rocked! Too bad the Rock Me Tonight video ended his career. He still made a lot of good music before AND after that video.

  • I'm no expert, but all that water cant be good for those drums

  • Just say HUUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love billy squier!

  • gee, the voice, the lyrics, the instruments. I thought he was the HOTTEST rock star . I was so into him.

  • This video makes up for the Rock Me Tonite video.

  • @Cincinnatification

I don't know. Can anything really make up for that??

Maybe if he hired the ZZ-Top girls...

  • The resolution of this clip makes me sad :)

  • I remember this, He hired Desmond Child and tried to turn his sinking ship around, it didn't work for him, perhaps cause by this point in the 80's it was all about the "look" more than the song and little girls couldn't hang this guy's picture on the wall.

  • One of if not his best song. Great sexy swagger!

  • oh the women in this clip...

not gonna tell you what watching this made me do back in the day :)

  • damn those chicks are HOT!!!!

  • they're all hot. But that redhead? Mmm Mmm good!

  • @driverdad71 Well yes but what about the blonde in black, yummy

  • @Aggression576 I like all the chicks in the video

  • You know out of the millions of web pages not one of them has tablature to this song?? I do it by ear but the rest of my band don't think it sounds right!

  • "Dammit, we need girls, lots of girls for this one. And no prancing Billy, none. I mean it."

  • best musician EVER!!!!!!! SQUIER!!!!!!

  • Was this Billy's "I Swear I'm Straight" video response to Rock Me Tonite? lol

  • LOL you read my mind.

  • Best song ever by him!

  • this must be in the 80's when he sang that

  • good song the video sucks. His songs rock.

  • Aaah... I love it.

"Don't say ya love me, just say--- uh!"

    Fantastic I say!

  • this was a total step up from the rock me tonight video.still like the guy and his music.

  • @69down ROCK ME TONIGHT WAS A GREAT SONG ON ITS OWN VIDEO MADE HIM ( bILLY ) LOOK KINDA ? ANYWAY IT IS A GREAT SONG , ROCK ME TONIGHT WAS MY 1ST GIRLFRIEND IN HIGH SCHOOL LOL lol

  • @69down Lol Big step...major step

  • @69down

A step up? Hell, Rock Me Tonight vid was total, utter, complete crap. Just about any vid would be a step up from that.

  • @cklenertz It wasn't total horrible, but ... it is widely thought to hurt his respectability meter

  • @69down

A step up? Hell, Rock Me Tonight vid was total, utter, complete crap. Just about any vid would be a step up from that. Really do like Billy Squire, wish he still played live now and then. Haven't seen or heard anything from him in years.

  • @cklenertz Same comment below? He recorded a blues CD, but since, not heard of his latest stuff, but he's been around in recent years, just not rocking out like before

  • He did 55 city tour summer of 2009. I seen 5 shows. was great. He Polled fans thru his website & did the top 15 or 20 songs voted on for his show...he's still got it (where as many rockers from the 80's do not)

  • Billy is a GIFTED artist, but Alas, the Rock Me Tonight Video was the Baby Ruth in his talented, prolific & virtuous swimming pool...

  • Too funny Sweeny! . The Richard Simmons pink T...the fruity dancing...crawling on the floor, writhing on satin sheets...he killed an otherwise rock solid career!

  • What ever happened to this dude? Great song great musician

  • He's on tour now and has a new album out....check him out.....sounds just as good and is still just so adorable!

  • ...well as far as a new album, that is in the works, but still too soon to tell....none the less any new material put out by SQUIER will be GOLDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • To me, the best sound in rock and roll is POWER CHORDS, this has em.....and Billy sounds great.

  • I'm a sucker for the song,...F' the video,..I don't evencare about it,..(never even watched it,...not gonna,...I'm ALLLL about Billys voice),,, ;)..

  • Gotta admit, great song. Are the women needed for this video??...NO, but they sure are hot as hell.

  • thanxs for the tune

  • mooseOdrool, In my opinion the woman is not needed, and i think takes away from the music. The focus is her instead of Billy. His videos always showed him and his band only, which I loved. In the 1980's a lot of bands used women in videos and I didn't like it. As a fan of the music and band, singer, I want to see them, not some woman who doesn't belong there. Maybe being a gal, I think this way, but also being a fan.

  • i agree Temple..I wanna see Billy not the women..course im a woman too so that has a lot to do with it i guess LOL

  • I don't think the girl belongs. It just doesn't seem like she should be there. I'd rather watch him !! He is so sexy!!!

  • I agree, Billy Squier was and still is such a talent. His voice is better than ever today, not all artists can say that (Summer Tour 2009!) I only wish the woman wasn't in the video, Billy's music never needed that. He never had to 'sell' a song to his true fans like that. His music, voice and guitar playing was always enough.

  • There is nothing wrong with having hot chicks in a music video. I don't know what your complaining about.

  • There are a lot of rockers, but only certain ones are really special, Billy Squire is one of them.

  • All the negative comments is so uncool and naive. Billy Squire is awlsome and has created great music. Some of these young punks need to listen and learn and keep their months shut!!!!Rock on Billy, your what Roll is all about. Thanks for the refreshing music that it is.

  • this song is rockin

  • Don't like Billy Squier?

    Don't freaking listen.

    Billy rocks!

  • Formula for a successful video- hot chicks bouncing around. Formula for a disastrous video- dancing around a studio apartment like a finook.

  • Great song from a great CD. I saw him in1983 in Denver and he put on a HELL of a show. "If rock and roll had a name". Billy Squier!

  • Does anyone have the tab to this song? I can't find it anywhere.

  • Squier ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Alas, no matter how much Sexual innuendo & T&A he put into his Post Rock Me Tonight vids, his career NEVER recovered. It's a shame given the gifted level of talent....

  • WOW!!!! MEMORIES!!!!!!

  • were do i find the tabs to tis song

  • Hear the Led Zeppelin influence?

  • Imagine that, in the 80's a Zeppelin influence, ha.

  • Every band stole from Zeppelin.

  • Like Zep stole from the old blues guys

  • He didn't steal from them, this just shows that he listened to and was influenced by Zeppelin. Dude was a good rock n roller

  • I have Billy Squires greatest hits. The cassette is pretty worn out.

  • @erich84502 Well, A lot of people did steal from Led Zepplin'But Billy Squier Did not he just showed how he appreciated there music and Let them know that he was Inspired as a rocker by them and Led Zepplin' Was very cool with Billy Squier in case you didn't know that all these hating ass comments need to stop he gets more pussy then all of you could in your whole life compared to his 10 minutes !! You and others saying he stole from Led Zepplin' Is stupid as fuck and Naive as hell -Dan P. 1969-

  • @canersikes Billy Squier is great and he owes me some new car stereo speakers! Rock me tonight was a great track. Rush is accused of stealing from Led Zepplin and people still support them to no end.

  • TY Great song! Still looking for She Goes Down..another fav :)

  • Nude Playboy Bunnies??? Who would have dreamed up that idea??? ( : She Goes Down is & always will be GREAT!!!

  • she goes down is a great song!!! off of Creatures of Habit though there was NEVER was a commercial video for it,it did have about a 20 second slot on the playboy channel for a promotion years ago. I do have Billy playing the song live on a vhs tape though!!

  • Hey i am interested in a copy of that VHS tape of Squier? Is it an entire show? He only perfromed that some on tour during the Creatures tour 91? Can I purchase a copy?

  • another great song from that album "Creatures of Habit" is a song called "Conscience Point" that is my favorite of that album!!!!! thanks Billy!!!! Summer tour 2009 yeah!!! bring it!!!!

  • Right now on his website there is a short of the promo, but it stops before it gets too interesting. Still, it's the first glimpse I've seen of it.

  • In a Christmas letter on his website, he says he's planning to start a tour in late June. YES!! Alan St. Jon will be with him too. Can't wait!

  • Fantastic song and video!

  • Great song, as per Squier provacative parlance, Great HOOK! Unfortunately his career didn't recover from the ill-fated Rock Me video to give this album it's due exposure & reward.

  • saw them in cleveland on this tour. loved it!

  • It was always a treat to hear him play this live

  • OMG I would still do him in a New York Minute...

  • This entire cd is really good if you can get a copy...I got to meet Billy and the band in Tulsa when he toured for this record, he has Blue Murder and King's X open...it was a great show and the song is still a great song! Rip Bobby!

  • Yea - pretty fuc#$% COOL! Even Now!

  • Squier is the most underrated musician out there!!!! He is the best ever!!!!!

  • This song is 20 years old now, but the video and the tune itself have aged really well. I loved it for the hot chicks then and still do, but the song is just good solid rock 'n roll which never goes out of style.

  • This is the greatest song/vid ever. So energetic! Gets my blood pumping every morning.

  • kick ass ty for sharing!!!!!!!!!

  • *rocks out*

  • Great song from 1989 i was in the sixth row for the concert at the Orpheum Theatre in Mpls, Kings X and Blue Murder opened for Billy!! yeah, just say HUH!!!

  • I saw the same show here in Indy!

  • Looks pretty darn good to me!

  • I love Billy Squire's voice. It just pops your eardrums, and you wanna hear more. He may not look attractive, but his voice sure is!

  • Come on now, he's not that bad looking.

  • Even sexist pigs can appreciate awesome guitar - the girls are just a bonus. I'm a woman and I love the energy of this song.

  • then again, aside from the intellectual and mature discourse here, when it all comes down to it, i am just a typical sexist pig. I crave women all wet and wild. Damn, they don't make videos like this anymore.

  • Billy isn't "on top" anymore because he quit the record business. When he released "Tell The Truth" all the record company gave a crap about was the "grunge" sound and rap... They never even made a video for the two or three singles that came off the record... And the by today's standards "Tell The Truth" sounds totally contemporary....and it really was one of his BEST recordings!

  • I wish that he did a video for the song ANGRY off of TELL THE TRUTH!!!!

  • as someone who loves Grunge (obviously by the name Seattle), I also appreciate your point. The decadent record companies are so narrow minded. They should be diverse and appreciate all genres, even ones they deem not cool anymore. From my perspective, this dude rocked and laid the groundwork for grunge

a decade later. Right on point slangman!

  • "Rocked", yes. "Laid the groundwork", no. You don't seriously mean to imply that there's a direct link from Billy Squier leading straight to, say, Mudhoney, do you?

    A bit of a stretch , that.

  • You're not saying Mudhoney is in the same league with Squier, or you? Squier shits better songs that any of the 90's 70's rehash bands. Yes I said it, Mudhoney, Pearl Jam, and all those other bands were nothing but 70's rehash. Heard it the first time.

  • It's not a matter of one being "in the same league with" the other. What I responded to was the person who implied Squier had "laid the groundwork for grunge". If you can hear a direct link between Billy Squier and, say, SUB POP, you be sure and let me know. All those albums I bought and shows I went to during that time (yes, in Seattle), never once did the name Billy Squier come to mind as an influence (for them). THAT was the point I was making.

  • And, not to flog a dead horse, but, in reference to that "laid the groundwork" bit, Cornell's got a blog entry at his website that specifically mentions Squier as "comic relief". So, any talk of Billy Squier as an influence or source of inspiration for any of the Seattle "grunge-era" acts, as I originally said 3 months ago, is "a bit of a stretch".

  • Cornell doesn't have much room to be pointing fingers about "comic relief".

  • i'm diggin the badass keyboard dude

  • Alan St. Jon you mean? I think he is still recording--his daughter Aja is also a singer I believe, but I am not sure if she has any CDs out yet. Go to Alan's Beck Studios Web site and it has more info on his works and her upcoming CD.

  • have to admit though, despite the 80's cheesy record promotion, this video is very hot.

For risk of sounding like a "male sexist pig",from my perspective, scantily clothed women getting wet is a very "inspirational" visual for me...anyone else agree?

  • hell yea

  • gay or str8, the dude is so cool. The issue we should be commenting on here is why the fuck he is not on top anymore. billy boy was so underrated and what sweenykim said is right on point. His record compnay could have marketed him differently.

  • I am looking for the "She Goes Down" video, I guess it is pretty riske.

  • Dude rocks~!

  • Umm, I'll take the blonde. Absolutely. . .

  • One of those timeless & very distinctive voices. Wish the rec co marketed him VERY differently...

  • Sweenykim is so right!!!! Squier is unsung he deseves sooo much more credit than what he has received....He is the best in my opinion..

  • I think the band, "Winger" copied Billy's look in Winger's "Madaline" video.

  • this came out after Madelaine!

  • A buddy saw them play in SA, TX and during a song, Squire and a guitar player leaned into each other and kissed. He said the whole tone of the gig dropped... plus, have you seen the video, 'Rock me tonight?' Yikes!

  • Billy Squire was one of the best kick ass, blast you out of your seat, Rock'n Rollers of the 80's along with The Georgia Satellites.

  • He kicked ass when he played this live

  • I think there was a reason behind the hot chicks in this video... Squier is trying to erase the memories of the Rock me Tonite video.

  • Yes, this song rocks, but man, the girls....

There is just something about the girls in videos like this in the 1980s. Sweet

  • When did this come out?

  • The question is ........Did he ever 'come out'?
