I don't think a bunch of good marketing is going to change my view of Ford. I look at history, and forums and still see fords blowing up, shooting flames, falling apart and hear horror stories that keep me away from Ford.

dude, cars dont just blow up or fall apart. not even the worst of hondas do that. what you've heard are overexaggerated stories of ford pintos getting engine fires. its just that people bag on that so much that they say that they'd literally and spontaneously explode.

All I meant was marketing won't change my view.. only seeing 100k+ mile fords with owners saying that nothing has gone wrong.. sitting in a ford without the stereo knob coming off in my hand (as happened in a brand new mustang.. and fit in finish that makes me want to buy one. But they don't make diesel cars (in us) so not even interested yet

i had a 99 ford ranger which had 157k miles on it and nothing went wrong. we just traded it in for a newer one
