Can you beat that blue wrx?? I have a ss/tc and have not raced a stock wrx yet...Only a highly modded one and he blew me from the line. Was hoping to try em at the roll but had no opportunity..

@demetrios77 You would beat a stock sti from a roll everytime, barely though. With an intake/DP/tune it will take the wrx ALOT to keep up from a roll. They are fast as hell off the line, I know cuz I own one ;)

You need boost to make that sound. The sound you are hearing is the recirculation valve dumping the boost back into the intake pipe.

@2009cobaltssmrjw NO. Just get the K&N drop-in for now. There hasn't been a reliable CAI or SRI to come out yet. There are a few that may release soon, but nothing major has been mentioned. HIt CobaltSS.net to check out what is coming out soon.

@americansmark actually with a tune, there are a couple... people have had good results with the AEM, Hahn, and the newly introduced K&N air charger... the problem is people throwing a CAI on a STOCK LNF Cobalt, without a tune, its a terrible idea

happens to the best of us lol make sure not to get there tune btw... get clear image automotives "trifecta tune".... BY FAR the best (and one of the cheapest and saffest) tunes on the market :)

Thank you for the input, it's actually my friends car I own the Subaru.. He went with a trifecta tune from a guy named "Vince" Not exactly sure which shop he's from. Made the car a whole new animal though, definitely. I was shocked when I drove it, spins all the way through 2nd and chirps 3rd, on dry pavement.

vince tuned my ss/tc too. mine does the same exact thing lol. but i called him up the other day and i told him to bump the boost up to 26 instead of 22. now.. omg. haha. imma need new tires too :P. ANYONE WITH A COBALT SS/TC, GO WITH VINCE!!!

@Nitro660r lol. Vince Geglia is the owner of Trifecta Performance near Seattle, WA. I tuned my daily driver through one of his local tuners and I spin through first and chirp second in my NA SS and put down 14.01 last time I tracked it. That's a heck of an upgrade for 200 bucks.

@americansmark I just turned 16 and got my licence and im picking up my cobalt t/c tomorrow(one of the last the guy said i guess im luckey huh?lol)and ive been working all summer so i got a hahn racecraft CAI and ArK GriP cat back exaust...alreadylol, and i just wanna know if i should get anything else like these "tunes" you guys are talking about and i just wanna know what tunes are and how they work and shit, if they affect fuel economy and if they affect longevity to the motor????

@willneverstop Yeah, you definitely need as tune for this in order for it to be safe, otherwise it's going to do damage to the motor and have a very short life
