Some other tender Avett offerings, "Ten Thousand Words" and "Laundry Room" from I and Love and You. "Weight of Lies" and "Ballad of Love and Hate" from Emotionalism. "Famous Flower Manhattan" and "The Lowering" from Four Thieves Gone. "The New Love Song" and "Pretty Girl at Airport" from Mignonette.

These are slower songs but there are many great uptempo ones as well.

The first time I heard this band was just seth avett playing a cover of Nicole Atkins "Maybe Tonight", and I thought if he can remake someone else's song so beautifully, then he must make beautiful music of his own. The I and Love and You album opened at #16 on the charts back in 09. This is without having ever had a radio single or much of any mainstream media attention. By word of mouth and live performances (this is what they built their following on) and the exposure of this album they've continued to grow exponentially in popularity. Even without the Grammy's I think their next album (which is in the recording process) was going to chart at least in the top 10, probably top 5.
