  • That's why when you're controlling somebody with a gun, you stand 5 feet away from them. What do you do then?

  • self defence is so illegal, you get into jail for this

  • @MrEurgbp What?

  • @MrEurgbp wtf do you smoke?

  • @MrEurgbp good call. maybe its better to get shot, stabbed and robbed

  • yeah but what if you dont know where he is holding the gun and you try to do it can not redirect the gun when its fired and get shot

  • the best thing to do is stay under the radar and just do what the gunner says to do.... but somtimes you just have a bunch of sickos out there thatll kill you regardless... so i can understand why ppl might take a whack at it.

  • good technique-i have been taught though to start from a passive stance- notone foot forward=you still do the technique but from a surprized stance- just my thoughts -oldsgtmajusmc

  • people who have guns no how to properly hold a gun. they would hold it with both hands. how do you defend yourself from someone who knows how to hold a wepon properly

  • @rubenftdwr not necessarily. people are fucking retarded especially if they are on drugs. they probably hold the gun with one hand, side ways like a gangster. if they are that stupid to get close to the person, chances are they are too stupid to know how to hold a gun properly.

  • oh my god, is very nice

  • Not to rant, but how can you just assume the gunman is right handed? If he happens to be left handed and is holding the gun with his left hand this technique would have you killed. Not very good, there is one technique that works for both left handed and right handed gunmen even if his gripping the gun with both hands. You just don't have time to react and figure out if his holding the gun with right, left or both hands.

  • @TheWTFers your a dumbass.. you'd do the same thing but to the opposite side

  • @TheWTFers It's actually better if the gunman is left handed - as a right-hander I'd still turn the same way, but it means their body is entirely facing away from you, so they have no 'weapons' (feet, knees, elbows, hands etc) pointed in your direction.

You'd do the same thing but palm strike the ear or the jaw from the side, and then lay into them with everything you can, and it would be harder for them to fight back.

  • same principle with a knife? wouldn't think so right?

  • the truth is no "idiot" would be that close to someone with a gun. The gun is a distance tool you just negated your own tool by being too close. I would never be more than 10 feet closer to you with a gun.

  • @MrHoppers002 Muggers do that, my friend.

  • @MrHoppers002 If you want to take money from someone what are you gonna do? use the force and make it levitate towards you? you have to go there and take it and make the person give it to you. And unless you were mentally ill you would keep the gun pointed at them while you either take it or they hand it to you and that's when you have the close distance you need to subdue the assailant

  • @MrHoppers002 What you fail to realize is that you are smarter than most criminals. Most of them are idiots. That's why they are criminals.

  • Good technique!

  • Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I thought this was a classroom setting. You really need to tell the asshole with the cell phone ringing in the background to leave it in the car. It''s not the end of the world if he doesn't take calls for an hour, not to mention a distraction for the rest of the people who are there to learn something.

  • Nice one Kelly. Great to see some more Krav chicks out there. There aren't that many of us in Australia.

  • a hard hit to the throat will kill somebody

    Sources: human anatomy

If its self defense you still get charged with murder

  • rather be tried by 12 then carried by 6

  • Ah well, at least you get to drop the soap.

  • Yes it can but what's the point?

  • Of course you can still get charged with murder.. But you have to understand that Krav Maga was originally made for (and 'by') the Israeli Defence Force.. So for the Military system and therefor for soldiers. Even though they nowadays have 3 different systems (Military, Police and Civil), the foundation is still the same and created with the same ideology; Do whatever it takes to survive. And if that means to kill someone (of course not on purpose), than so be it.

I'm sorry for my bad English.

  • @OfficialMusicJH dude....YOUR ENGLISH ROCKS!!!!!!!.....but yeh seriously its pretty good i wouldn't bother apologizing...shit its probably better than mine

  • @ipwnallways You know there is something called justifiable homicide...

  • Is this a level 2 move? Level 3? I'm level 1 right now, but I can test to go to level 2 in July (most likely).

  • @realmasterchief hey where u takin km at

  • It's an inherently risky situation. Getting offline is the only intelligent thing to do.

  • exactly. And the way she turns (getting offline) can work against a knife or a punch. From the front or the back. It's such a simple movement it almost seems to easy which is why it works.

  • Very very cool. But it looks kinda risky getting out of the line of fire.

  • you have to get out of the line of fire so not get shot and it's actually rather safe because it's only a very small turn of the back which is fast and your out by the time you completely turn you already have his arm and he's gettin a face full of elbow

  • @Rtv03 she averts the line of fire before even throwing the punch, not many people realise this.

  • @kyrmproductions true i just noticed too. for being lvl 2 and not noticing i need my ass kicked
