hi @puresnowman01, i've got an acer aspire one netbook and a 32" lf flat screen tv.. also, i've purchased a vga to hdmi cable. i've hooked it last night, it suited well, but the the thing is, no signal always appears on my screen, what seems to be the problem,? please help,, thanks very much

if you still read the comments i have a question. my tv doesn't have a VGA port, but i did manage to grab an adapter that's VGA on one end and yellow RCA on the other. i followed the rest of the steps but nothing works. the TV's blank. i had another laptop a few months ago that worked fine with this cord but someone stole it. does this laptop have something in it that's not making it go to the TV? it's the same as yours, acer aspire one. any help will be fine.

@BGDD27 a man thats the same thing i did i ask a guy at best buy would it work for my computer and he told me yes i wasted 60 bucks because the thing dident work the onlt one i have found to work it the VGA to VGA hope this helps

hey good video, but i'm trying to connect my acer aspire one with a broken screen, to my dynex tv. i can follow you up until the fn/f5 key part but since 80%of my acer screen is black from damage i cant see the menu and im tryen to get it to work without success.all i need to do after i hit the two keys is hit the right arrow to get to the right one to click on the menu....right?

@ZarenKnight naw dude if u want it just to be on you TV since your screen is broke u want to (HOLD) FN and PRESS F5 Three times........your computer screen should go into your TV.........i hope this helps you........if it does not work or if u have any other questions please let me no so i can help ya out more if ya need it

then went to display setting and set the color resolution, screen resolution (depends on your hdtv resolution). then press apply and "listo". make sure you have the input tntry on the vga, pc, rgb (depends on your hdtv). hope it works for some. btw my hdtv brand is a vizio.

the educational video was great. but i had to do it the other way around. found by myself to to go to control panel and go to intel media accelerator driver (zg5 a.k.a. a110) and set the display devices options on primary monitor and secondary to laptop.

Edit: I missed that section about the audio jack. I got mines to work but the resolution is not full screen on the tv.
