It's real, the small detail that proves it is the skin shading was done like the real avatars...this was a concept design that was NOT chosen to be in the movie...Hence why the one in the movie is different.

Not too many people give a fuck about some stupid cartoon on Nickelodeon. James Cameron had the rights to the name "AVATAR" before your precious little cartoon came into existence. Look up the definition for "Avatar" in any dictionary.
