@fishoexplotion1 No problem, my Angel is a dominating character but he does not kill or eat any fish. Goldfish can live in a very wide range of water temps. Hi I am a new you tuber looking for a break my channel has a comment question of the weak feel free to ask I question that u have on my channel and I would be more than happy to anser it. And please share my vids with friends and I will also ask a comment question to u.
@bonofan100 Sure do, they eat algae and waste form all around the tank. It’s a great fish to have because it helps keep the tank looking clean. Thanks for watching & commenting!
@CatspitProductions that is actually a myth about algae eaters because they create more waste than they consume. For helping keeping the tank clean your better with some shrimp or snails. However Plecos do look good :)
@Fordyl2k I disagree. I understand what you are saying but if your ecological bio system is functioning properly, then a catfish and pleco complement the system perfectly. Catfish and plecos will eat any extra food that other fish miss. They may also eat smaller clumps of other organic matter. And the pleco keeps the rocks, ornaments and glass clean of algae. For me, they keep my tank looking much cleaner than without. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@CatspitProductions yeh i agree with you in some sense for example they definately help with algae but disagree about the general waste :) So lets agree to disagree :) Cool video btw i recently had to get rid of my tank due to lack of room hoping to get one again at some point.
@Fordyl2k No problem. Live and let live. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment on my video. I hope you get to have a new tank soon, good luck!
@EpicNarwhal Hey thanks for your concern. I actually have a complete freshwater testing system and I do monitor nitrates and ammonias but they always read low or zero. I actually lose about 1 gallon of water from evaporation every two days and fresh water is always being added so oxygen is not a problem either. I always wonder about mineral build up due to the evaporation. So now and then, I will change out some water but not very often at all. Thanks for watching and commenting!
That's a great setup, but you do have to do water changes at least once a month. The waste will still build up, even with a catfish and pleco. Please take this into consideration.
@EpicNarwhal Oh and my fish seem happy, well and very healthy. I don’t lose many fish at all. Many of them have been in there for about 3 years. In fact, most people I know with aquariums can’t figure out why I have such a low casualty rate. I just tell them it’s a gift. Thanks much for your input and taking the time to check out my video. Have you seen the new aquarium video?
@emil50 Your tank looks good. Nice and clean with a lot of activity! Guppies can be a lot of fun. My friend wants me to build a guppy tank and let them breed. I’d love to do that but I really don’t have the space. Thanks for watching & commenting!
@uniquein2010 Thank you! I enjoy it very much. I took a look at your aquarium videos. Very nice! You have some wicked color going on and plenty of fish. Do you experience any casualties month to month? Thanks for watching!
@TheXquicksilver Don’t worry; you can add fish and decorations a little at a time. Even my little 20 gallon took some time to get the battleship and fill it up with fish. Then you will end up changing the tank layout as you build it and adapt it to better suit the fish you get. Some like places to hide and others like vegetation. It will take some time before you may consider the tank finished. Good luck! And thanks for watching!
Have you had any problems with it and the guppies or platies? I've just bought a 28gal tank and thinking of fish to add to it when its all cycled. I love angelfish but already have 5 platies and I've heard angelfish can be quite agressive? Also did it grow big cos I've heard about them being around 6"?
@harperc I have had other Angel fish that were either very fragile and timid or submissive to other fish. But this black Angel fish is a tough cookie. He does not hurt the other fish but he lets them know he is king. I think he acts like the policeman in the community. He keeps all other fish inline and subordinate to him. But he never has killed anything. And yes, he has grown quite a bit. But I wouldnt worry too much about the growth, takes some time. Thanks for watching & commenting!
@Barcel0ny - I think it is actually a misnomer that aquarium water can be oxygenated. Water molecules will not bond to a second oxygen atom except under certain circumstances. None of which are created by an air pump in a fish tank. The real purpose of the air pump is to remove gaseous toxins and provide agitation on the waters surface for an efficient surface to air contact ratio. This allows for better release of toxic gases in solution in the tank water. Thanks for watching!
Maybe Craigslist, LOL, if he doesnt want to just wait until they croak. I think he was kidding; I dont have the heart to throw out a little fishy either. Thanks for checking out the video!
you could go into a pet store or aquarium and hand the fish in and possibly get money that way so the poor things dont die and can be given another good home
Actually, most all pet stores which sell fish will not take the fish back even for free. There are too many risks involved with parasites and disease so they do not act as a shelter for any fish even if you buy them there. The best thing to do is just wait for them to die naturally. Or give them to a friend who will want them. Thanks for watching and commenting!
LOL, Yea I agree. Those are the 2 fish I put in the tank when I first set it up to help get the ecosystem going. They are very hearty and will live under most any circumstance as you may well know. It just so happened that they lived for 1 year exactly. The gold one died first and then a week later the black one went too. I guess he got lonely. There are no more goldfish in my tank. Im not sure what type of Angel this one is. Just the common one you get at the pet store. Thanks for watching!
@xxHUNGREExx - I think maybe 2 or 3 if it is just for maintenance to add fresh water every month. If it is for other reasons like ick or some kind of water problem maybe up to but no more than 5 gallons. The more you change at one time, the more stressful it is for the fish. I think that is the bottom line. And make sure the replacement water is treated to be neutral in ph or other chemicals like chlorine. You can get additives to make tap water less stressful for fish. Thanks for watching!
Actually the battleship was purchased through Petco some time ago. I have not seen them there since I bought this one. The drawback is that my Plecostomus is pulling some of the paint off of it as he feeds on the algae. Therefore, I will be replacing the battleship soon with a more natural rock formation. But, yea, I really liked the battleship too! Thanks for watching!
yea thats cool. try playing it in full screen and it makes your screen look like a fish tank (well nearly!). how much did that set up set you back mind me asking?
Yea, that was what I was going for. Sorta like the old fireplace view TV stations used to put on during Christmas years ago. That is what gave me the idea although I have not seen that in a long time now they just play one movie all day. I am not sure how much money I have invested into the tank. The money is mostly in fish rather than equipment. Not too bad to set it up, but it can get costly when you want to buy all kinds of stuff for inside it. Thanks for watching!
A couple of questions... What is the tank called, its looks great and How many fish do u have? Thanks

Thanks for watching!

my fish tank is so big that i wasn prepared for all the decoration =.= and i hav so little fishes
TheXquicksilver 1 year ago
@TheXquicksilver Don’t worry; you can add fish and decorations a little at a time. Even my little 20 gallon took some time to get the battleship and fill it up with fish. Then you will end up changing the tank layout as you build it and adapt it to better suit the fish you get. Some like places to hide and others like vegetation. It will take some time before you may consider the tank finished. Good luck! And thanks for watching!

Love the angelfish =)
Have you had any problems with it and the guppies or platies? I've just bought a 28gal tank and thinking of fish to add to it when its all cycled. I love angelfish but already have 5 platies and I've heard angelfish can be quite agressive? Also did it grow big cos I've heard about them being around 6"?
harperc 1 year ago
@harperc I have had other Angel fish that were either very fragile and timid or submissive to other fish. But this black Angel fish is a tough cookie. He does not hurt the other fish but he lets them know he is king. I think he acts like the policeman in the community. He keeps all other fish inline and subordinate to him. But he never has killed anything. And yes, he has grown quite a bit. But I wouldnt worry too much about the growth, takes some time. Thanks for watching & commenting!

I have an filter in Aquarium Do i need to add oxygen?
I am Begginer :d
Barcel0ny 1 year ago
@Barcel0ny - I think it is actually a misnomer that aquarium water can be oxygenated. Water molecules will not bond to a second oxygen atom except under certain circumstances. None of which are created by an air pump in a fish tank. The real purpose of the air pump is to remove gaseous toxins and provide agitation on the waters surface for an efficient surface to air contact ratio. This allows for better release of toxic gases in solution in the tank water. Thanks for watching!

tomstutorials 1 year ago
Maybe Craigslist, LOL, if he doesnt want to just wait until they croak. I think he was kidding; I dont have the heart to throw out a little fishy either. Thanks for checking out the video!
CatspitProductions 1 year ago
LOL, Yea, sometimes they live a long time. That's funny, thanks for commenting!
CatspitProductions 1 year ago
you could go into a pet store or aquarium and hand the fish in and possibly get money that way so the poor things dont die and can be given another good home
indieHindleyMusic 1 year ago
Actually, most all pet stores which sell fish will not take the fish back even for free. There are too many risks involved with parasites and disease so they do not act as a shelter for any fish even if you buy them there. The best thing to do is just wait for them to die naturally. Or give them to a friend who will want them. Thanks for watching and commenting!

i think goldfish carp are crap fish lol but no offense i like yer angel fish ,, is it a veiltail?
xsapx13 1 year ago
LOL, Yea I agree. Those are the 2 fish I put in the tank when I first set it up to help get the ecosystem going. They are very hearty and will live under most any circumstance as you may well know. It just so happened that they lived for 1 year exactly. The gold one died first and then a week later the black one went too. I guess he got lonely. There are no more goldfish in my tank. Im not sure what type of Angel this one is. Just the common one you get at the pet store. Thanks for watching!

how many gallons of water should i change for a 10 gallon tank....
xxHUNGREExx 2 years ago
@xxHUNGREExx - I think maybe 2 or 3 if it is just for maintenance to add fresh water every month. If it is for other reasons like ick or some kind of water problem maybe up to but no more than 5 gallons. The more you change at one time, the more stressful it is for the fish. I think that is the bottom line. And make sure the replacement water is treated to be neutral in ph or other chemicals like chlorine. You can get additives to make tap water less stressful for fish. Thanks for watching!
CatspitProductions 2 years ago
is it ok to use blue light or should i use white
xxHUNGREExx 2 years ago
@xxHUNGREExx - I would use an aquatic bulb if possible. Otherwise a regular incandescent or florescent bulb will work. Thanks for watching!

Did you make the sunken ship your self? It looks sick!
petersmonkey 2 years ago
Actually the battleship was purchased through Petco some time ago. I have not seen them there since I bought this one. The drawback is that my Plecostomus is pulling some of the paint off of it as he feeds on the algae. Therefore, I will be replacing the battleship soon with a more natural rock formation. But, yea, I really liked the battleship too! Thanks for watching!
CatspitProductions 2 years ago
yea thats cool. try playing it in full screen and it makes your screen look like a fish tank (well nearly!). how much did that set up set you back mind me asking?
piltv 2 years ago
Yea, that was what I was going for. Sorta like the old fireplace view TV stations used to put on during Christmas years ago. That is what gave me the idea although I have not seen that in a long time now they just play one movie all day. I am not sure how much money I have invested into the tank. The money is mostly in fish rather than equipment. Not too bad to set it up, but it can get costly when you want to buy all kinds of stuff for inside it. Thanks for watching!
