This was an unusually difficult Olympics for many, if not most gymnasts. I still have a hope (growing more irrational by the year) that the IOC will give Andreea Raducan back her gold medal. And those "bad" vaults before the vault-height problem was corrected STILL show up in gymnastic "bloopers" vids, though I wish we could somehow disallow their use in such videos. I feel bad for Oz; I hope they get another Summer games again sometime soon.

That girl at 3:10 did almost the same thing Dominique Dawes did in the '96 AA competition. Except Dominique fell on her bottom and then out of bounds instead of forward.

Well done. THose Russian girls and their poor sportsmanship. The gold was theirs to win, and they acted like poor sports after they choked.

I was glad Zamo came back to win two golds, though. I was pushing for Raducan or Karpenko or Zamo in AA.

It's awful that happened with the vault - a messed up vault can really mess with the gymnast head for the rest of the competition and so many were shaken by it - they really should have redone the entire AA final

what was up with raising the vault?

is that why there were so many vault crashes.

all i heard about was the floor was hard.

p.s. i was only 8 years old so i didnt follow it lol

the vault was set too low in the womens all around and yes would have been a factor into why there was so many vault crashes..

it wasnt until like half way through the comp that they realized and raised it to normal height

i agree with you on the ruducan part being one of the worst bits but i was sorta trying to just concertrate on what went wrong at the actual competition its self not what happened after it if that makes sense
