Lion hunting in kenya is banned. Although Kenya is one of the best hunting destination on earth. Hunting is alive and well in Kenya. The hunting of Elephants was banned in the chobe river region. As a result they elephant numbers are way to high. Too many elephant mean that hundreds of thousands of trees are being pushed over and many other animals are losing thier habbitats thanks to this. The Chabe Duiker is worst effected of this and are now Critically endangered!
Hunting alive in Kenya? I'm surprised..in which Kenyan national park or reserve is hunting legal?
I know that there have been cases (like the overpopulated by elephants Kruger national park in your country) where killings were necessary but it was the government who did it...not those sadistic tourists from overseas (mainly USA) who pay thousands of dollars to kill an elephant for fun...it is them I despise...cause they kill for their own pleasure NOT for conservation!
@sando1975 In Kenya there is private Game/hunting farms and the animals on those farms are in better condition than any of those animals in the kenyan national parks. The animals in the reserve are going to die either by Disease, so the animal will die slowly or they will have a huge lion hanging from thier necks! The animals in the reserve will be shot and will die instantly and unpainfully! 98% of the time anyway. What an Ideal way to go!
Allow me, as a pro wildlife photographer who visits east African countries (mainly Kenya and Tanzania) very often to know that game thrives in those well protected national parks!
For example the healthiest lion pouplation lies in the Serengeti-Masai Mara eco-system with more than 4000 individuals doing extremely well!!
I have seen and photographed nature in all it's glory in these places....and oppose farms who breed animals to be shot by hunters....its all about money...:-(
Anyone who kills wildlife for fun and "sport"...is pathetic, mentally unstable...(and certainly needs professional help)
I'm a professional wildlife photographer and can only feel frustration and anger seeing those idiots "smiling"...side by side to a dead lion or elephant, just a few seconds after they have commited their crime.....
How nature works???Let me teach you how nature works.
There is not a single creature out there (any carnivore or herbivore) which hunts and kills for any other reason than feeding or guarding it's territory....that's nature!!
Only we, humans kill for fun, sport (sic) and the excitement of the hunt.
Only we enjoy pain and death and feel happy when we take the life of a creature just for our personal pleasure!
Do you call THAT....nature????....hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!
@sando1975 . People who kill for fun murder other people! We hunt to experience that animals habitat, to harvest the best quality meat avaliable and to preserve the nature in which we hunt in and LOVE! Have you ever considerd that sheep will never be extinct? Of course they wont! Why? Because humans put a value on them & Thats the same value we put on the wild animals. If there was no hunting, wild animals would be shot Indiscriminately because they compete with live stock. Sory for swearing:)
You say you wish to experience the animal's habitat, to preserve it and maintain it.....I wonder why do you have to do it with a rifle in hand and not a spotting scope or a pair of binoculars or a telephoto lens. You claim that you value and love wildlife....but the same time you are willing to kill it.... to me that makes no sense.
@sando1975 You make a good piont! But if you let me I will send you an E-mail or a personal message explaining to you why hunting is so vital. I dont want you to change over night and miraculously love hunting. All I want is for you (and all of the other anti-hunting people) is to just understand hunting. I was also against hunting at one stage of my life. And also, the actual killing of the animal is NOT the highlight of the hunt.
You know... there is a big sign at Jomo Kenyatta inernational airport (Kenya).....it shows a wonderful picture of a mature male lion and below it is written "it worths more alive....Kenya against hunting"
I wish your government in South Africa followed the same successful policy....Kenya preserves habitats and wildlife in the most effective way without a single bullet being shot over there.... for many decades.
Hunting is barbaric and hunters are cowards. Very brave to shoot an animal from a distance. Takes real guts. You're not realy pitting your strength or bravery against the animal's, just your ability to shoot straight. Why brag about it? Not to mention the chance that the animal doesn't die immediately thus causing it to suffer. Very manly! And I'm a Conservative.

interesting video oke, but the photo of the dead leopard is not a good thing. Kudu and other buck are ok.
