hehehehe im only 15 and i can already reach a 12th
o.o
but anyways this is a really hard song to do...
my teacher says i should concentrate more on practising the beginning and lassan parts, but the friska parts are so fun to do and i can already play the first page of it
actually this is pretty close to the actual tempo...the accelerando could have been a little more drastic, but hey, this song is played a variety of different ways.
You sound good, but I'm so sorry that you can only reach a ninth. If you have ever attempted stride piano, I'm sure that's hampered you. I'm lucky enough to get a 10th and I can just stretch enough to reach an 11th. Hopefully I can reach the tenth from Eb to G when I'm done growing.
I don't care how many times I hear this, I laugh because of it's constant use in cartoons. The best use this song ever had was in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
Beautiful! This is a fabulous piece and impossible to play without slips! We are all human and all fallible! Even Liszt played it without 100% perfection! Mistakes give the piece more human character! If a pianist can play without a single slip, the it's just a fluke! Good job and don't give!
I think you made a great effort on this very difficult piece and played it quite well. I like a faster tempo for this 2nd half, but the speed you chose helped bring out certain melodic lines that usually disappear when you it's played lightning fast. Great job! Keep playing!
Heh, the expectations of your viewers are much higher than they'd be if the cartoons didn't use this song to exhaustion. True, your playing would sound better if it was faster, but making it to the end in one piece comes first, and some pianists (like myself) sometimes never reach the end of more difficult pieces.
I give you so much credit for playing such a difficult piece!! I felt you did a great job!! I can't imagine how long it took you to learn it to play it. Thanks for putting your concert on You Tube - I have always wanted to see someone play this live (I have "Rhapsody Rabbit" on video.) Moreover, I talked with a couple of piano experts who said this piece would take a while to learn and is very hard. Kudos to you!
Thanks for the comments. I chose to learn the piece, and my teacher was a bit hesitant. Looking back, I probably shouldn't have learned it just yet. I know it's definitely not the best performance.
About 10 months total. If I had more time, it would have been better. It also would be better if I had bigger hands. As it is, I can barely reach a ninth, which makes sections of this even harder.
If you this was performed faster it would sound much better, but you still made many mistakes playing it this slow so I think you were better off playing it this slow.
love it.. aloha..

I also added a short cadenza written by Liszt right before the final octave section.

And some people think liszt's music is impossible!

Are you studied specializing in music?
The tempo improvement is difficult though I do the piano by the hobby, and am practicing this tune.
When only this can be played in the stage, it is splendid. I wanted to see other performances.

I love this hungarian rhapsody. Although you played it very slow, you made some big mistakes. Try studying it more. Good luck!

Great job. But try attacking the piece a bit more. you seem to take a bit too slow.
