I'm a Cajun and I agree with you completely. I must admit though that I've never seen a Cajun band with a voice of this quality. Of course, I'm old enough to remember when there we almost no women singing Cajun music. There are a few youngsters out there with good singers but they're taking the music closer to rock and zydeco. Nobody is doing anything this beautiful.
