I might give this game a go. It made me think of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee for some reason and I loved that game. Puzzle games are great fun but like you say.. the arcade puzzle game needs to be alot longer.

I would also give it a 10/10. Obviously the only complaint is that it's not longer, but now I'm going to replay it and try to get all of the stars. And then I'll try the speed run, I call that replayability.

The puzzles in the game are unlike any other I've seen an any other game. Try playing it, it is a really good game.

How does it not seem original? There's not a single hint as to how to complete each level. No "Look for a way up there". Hell, some of the puzzle pieces can only be reached by means that would, in other games, be considered exploitation.

And time reversal was already done in PoP

Yes but (as far as I know) everything is affected by the time reversal in PoP. On Braid, time reversal is a part of the problem solving since some objects and some ennemies are immune to time manipulation.

I've yet to enjoy a time game, so I won't be losing any sleep over this not coming to WW.

Especially as £10/$20 (Approx U.K price) for a 45 minute game is outrageous. At least this does one thing right in my eyes, it makes Lost Winds seem worth it (£7 for 2 hours 30).

I'll stick to the severely underated Toki Tori for now.

Some of the puzzles caught me off guard and kept me thinking for 30+ minutes.

I'd say the average person would probably take 4-5 hours maybe (very rough guess).

I feel Chris got it right. Listening to my review pretty much sums up my thoughts on it and I too (after much thinking after beating the game)gave it a ten. People who say time puzzles are nothing new are correct but the time puzzles in Braid are astonishing. It's not often when a games Graphics matter but Braids graphics are very nice and I quite enjoyed them. Also Braid's music is very fitting. Overrall Braid is a good game and by far one of my favorites.

I like the art style of the game - it definitely looks distinctive.

The main character is very poor, though. Similar to the badly designed, badly animated, lacking personality, 2D characters you would find in 2nd-rate computer games of the early 90s.

The actual game design - isn't doing anything fresh.

I guess the creator of this game says Braid on the PS3 might happen. That would be really cool as this game sounds/looks really awesome. I have had more fun with the PSN games than the $60 games. And when they are so good like this then it really will make you happy knowing that you bought a game for only a faction of the price of a major title. The popular games are not always the best games. And games like this prove that there are still games made for people that love games in general.

I've heard so many good things about this game, so I decided to try it out the other day, I wasn't impressed.

There always some games that are just over rated beyond belief, this Rez and Portal get ridiculous praise from all over the place.

I'm disappointed that you gave this a 10/10. I believe that NO game deserves such score, but then again that's just me.

From what I've looked into it seems like this game just either clicks with some people or it doesn't. I'm extremely hard with the games I review but really I can't think of anything in this one I'd improve (except I want it longer). I'm still really enjoying it and I'm slowly working out the path I want to take for the 45 minute speed run to get that last achievement.

Well you are right about that, it didn't click with me at all. I beat it and I thought it was a pretty decent game with great visuals(love the art style) and some good ideas. But the whole package amounts to an average game at the most.

I did however enjoy the few Super Mario references here and there.
