Thanks for posting this! I have read about sharpening hooks but never actually practiced it - until I saw this video. I got myself one of the Jensen files and went through all of my plugs and bucktails. Out of all of the treble and single hooks that I sharpened, I would say that fewer than 5% of them were as sharp as they could have been if I had sharpened them! and some of these hooks were brand new - VMCs even! Thanks for this simple tip. I'll be sharpening all my hooks from now on.
