Love this song, even though it reminds me of a certain woman in my life. By the way, for those of you not familiar with The Radio Dept. listen to 'Pulling Our Weight' next.
@TheMementoMoris it doesn't sound that hard.. just fool around with the guitar and you'll figure it out. Also, damn, they were so good. I listened to them a lot in 2008/9 and they fitted my mood so well. I also heard a lot of acid house kings. Check them out.
Yeah, I don't like it like this.. and I really don't like it! I should be in Hard Rock Cafe now with these guys performing live right here in Manila.. but I can't afford the tickets.. Huhu. !____! \m/
this song reminds me to dream- and every time i dream while listening to this song its about me living in a chateu in france- surrounded by nature and beauty,
the radio dept, vinieron a lima. de todos los lugares donde pudieron haber ido , y tdvia no los conocia, putamadre, todo pasa por algo., quizas si hubiera ido pero me hubiera tirado un mes de la universidad... ha.
Nice, but you guys should really look up Lucy Show's "Mania" from 25 years ago. (and a hundred other bands). I can't help but think these guys were listening to "part of me now" when they made this song. It's here on youtube.
I remember hearing this in Marie Antoinette, and it was in my head when my pet was put to sleep. I play it whenever I'm sad, because I feel like sometimes all that you really can do is be sad.
Ah... One of my fave Radio Dept. songs and the one they opened their show in Bergen, Norway with when they played here recently. "Words fail me all the time..." what an opening line!
Staring out of a window. Watching moving scenery. Falling rain. Drifting to sleep. A flood of memories. This is what this song brings to mind. Perfection by one of my favorite bands....
Staring out of a window. Moving scenery. Falling rain. Memories. Hypnotic trance.....This is what this song brings to mind. Perfection by one of my favorite bands. Thank you Marie Antoinette. Love the movie, and Kirsten :) sigh...I think this may put me to sleep if I keep listening to it....But in the good way! lol So relaxing...
this reminds of a wonderful day back when i had a significant one.. i had a smiths playlist while we were just laying in bed all night we woke up to this song.. it gave off quite a memorable experience
lyrics: Words fail me all the time I don't even feel like talking still I go on and on I'm dying here and you keep walking why are you asking me this? can't you see I'm trying? I don't like it like this no I think I'm dying I can't calm down at all panic is what panic feels like can't we just stay silent? speaking now seems far too violent why are you asking me this? can't you see I'm trying? I don't like it like this no I think I'm dying
listen to the radio dept when you are: inside the house on cloudy days, outside the house on cloudy days, driving on a rainy day, or better yet just listen to them everyday like I do :]
@TheClyttCommander I don't thinkk I actually noticed that it sounds like rain in the beginning, when I first heard it. Even without rain noises the mood is "rainy day" haha. The lyrics, everything, kind of dreary.
Wonderful song...I can't stop listening to it, I have it in my ipod and cell phone. I love the atmosphere it creates - it takes me far away from this world (thank god) into a dreamy but meditative state....
@68generation Yeah... I feel that way too. It makes me feel nostaligic, makes me want to grab onto my adolescence and slow down time and never ever have to grow up.
@68generation I love your comment i could not think of a better way to describe it myself,You should check ot the band brodcast and the song "come on lets go" I get the same feel..
i luv the beginning, it sounds like it's raining in the background.
overall, the song is rly peaceful and i luv it, i listen to it all the time. i like how it sounds contentedly happy...luved it in marie antoinette, too :]
Yeah, its definately up there on the list of fav songs from the Marie-Antoinette soundtrack! (next to Adam & The Ants's "King of the Wild Frontier")..
Love this song, even though it reminds me of a certain woman in my life. By the way, for those of you not familiar with The Radio Dept. listen to 'Pulling Our Weight' next.

That's suppose to be the sound of rainfall in the background?...I thought it was just intentional distortion.

The kind of goosebumps you get when you feel like you're actually being yourself, like you're experiencing something so peaceful, yet so exciting.
This song makes me feel distant. I love it.

sometimes you stumble upon a song that you love, and find a band you love.
once in a lifetime you find a band like the radio dept.
