1. James blew his voice out for the first (official) time recording the black album. And twice since then. That's 19 years span. Plus he's gotten much older... between his age, and the time elapsed he has been belting out notes, you can't blame a guy for his voice changing.

A band can't always play perfect or like in the studio. They've aged and they almost broke up and they had to relearn songs, James lost his voice doing So What under the production of the Black Album. I'm just so freaking fucking happy they don't do playback shit. And about tuning down, it's their fucking music, and the wrote it. So they can modify everything they fucking want. So stop fucking complaining. We should be happy they are back and still rolling after all these years.
