  • I just did a quick search and found a charger on the HobbyClub{dot-com} website (can't be positive that it will work for you). Click on the "CO2 & Rubber Powered Products" link in the left border. I'd paste the full URL here, but YouTube evidently doesn't allow it.

  • Do you know where can I find the charging unit. I have the motor and the cartridges but I can't charge the motor.

  • can you make a video when you show how to make it? sorry for my bad english.

  • Excellent , thanks for showing, " how do get a longer run time"?

  • I believe I have one of these motors. I bought it from a Free Flight meet at Old Warden, UK a couple of months back. I've fitted it to a rubber powered West Wings Topaz. Hope to fly it soon (been rather windy here in Lindon recently).

  • it's working like oposite compresor. i'm i correct?

  • how the f**k does that work?!

  • what would happen if u let go of it

  • hey where can i get one

  • @MulletManAndAfroDude probably ebay or allegro, look fro CO2 Modela, pellet motor.

  • Doesn't it need oil?

  • It does, but only on bearings(meaning the body) and crank. One should oil the cylinder as well, but it's best not to prime it (the oil could freeze etc, thus stopping the engine from running properly). As it is basically a two-cycle, it doesn't need much oil.

  • @ideeman1994 yes

  • Hello!

A little mistake here; the motor is not Junior 451. Motor is marked DP-03. Junior 451 is just the plane, which it came with. The manual states that the motor is called DP-03. There is even a cutaway of it.

  • Thanks for pointing out the mistake. I discovered it after making the video, but forgot to note it here. I updated my web page on the DP-03, including a scanned (and OCR'ed) copy of the user manual that came with the Junior 451 kit (imported from Russia by Sig Mfg. in the early 1990s).

Carlson Engine Imports sells the DP-03 motor for $35.

  • Ah, just checked Your manual - there are two types of them. One in imperial system (Yours) and one in metric(mine). I have both the English and Russian manuals, both for the plane and motor.

I shall post a video, if I can get it flying. The major problem is filling the tank - the original charger uses smaller cartridges than I prefer to use.

  • It should be capable to run on steam as well! Anyone who tried this?

  • wow if i had that i wold get a bigger tank a valve to adjust the pressure and put it in a boat or RC CAR

  • Actually, the original manual states, that the motor is meant to power other vehicles too, like hydroplanes or aero-cars.

  • I wonder if this can be scaled up to compete with those air-pressure powered cars I keep hearing about?

  • Ok!

    1. where can i get them?

    2. where can i get the chargers?

    3. how much are they?

  • so is it powered by pressure?

its not actually burning co2 to power right?>

  • Right. It's really hard to burn CO2, considering it's fairly stable nature.

Remember, they make Fire Extinguishers that eject one form of CO2 or another, because it has a natural ability to snuff out a flame, rather than burn.

  • hahaha yeah ur right, but im still figuring out a way to power some stuff by c02

  • Were would you buy one of these? is it under 60$?
