I thought two most amazing elements in the universe were girls' breasts. Taking these two channels into my consideration I'm starting to think I might have actually been wrong... o.O
To add to my previous post, most later artists with the 8 and 16 track modes took extreme care to mix their music into perfect stereo mixes. Purple Motion was one of those artists where you would NEVER use the surround because you would want to here it as he intended. So Great. Thanks for all these posts. Still I noticed that some artists either purposely or because the fault of the tracker software would turn out MONO. XMPlay Surround did a delay mix and the mono turned into perfect stereo.
Memories is correct. I listened to this so many times using XMPlay which I think is the best tracker and mod player on the planet. XMPlay has a memory to remember your settings per song because depending on the artist, you may or may not need to turn on surround. On the later Tracked songs you certainly would not want surround on. But on many of the older 4 track mods you definitely would want it on and it made those old Mods sound like magic under the headphones.
@ribtin Since you asked what he's up to these days, Purple Motion (aka Jonne Valtonen) is the music lead for all live orchestra projects (meaning he composes and conducts) for a company involved in productions of video game music concerts around the world, as well as live recordings for publishers/developers such as THQ USA, SEGA Japan and Square Enix Japan, including major franchises such as Final Fantasy, The Elder Scrolls, Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania (and several more).

Purple Motion is amazing. The stuff some of those old trackers pulled off is amazing.
