  • Today is the first time I'm listening to Jay Jay Pistollet but I'm absolutely a 100% sure I've heard this song before. Does anyone hafe a logical explanation? Is it a cover? did they play it with the vaccines? Did some other band cover it? Or does it just sound a lot like some other song??

  • @StellaArcher It's just one of those songs that makes you think "I know this..." when it's new:)

  • Why does this make think about The Kinks?

  • BRILLIANT!!!! :D

  • Why oh why did I never sit up

and take notice of this guy until now? Loving it! Even if it is a bit twee and in the mould of Belle and Sebastian!

  • OHELLO THERE JUSTIN.

  • He should play this at any gig he does with the Vaccines. I love them, but this song is something else.

  • KC!!!

  • shame this video only has 58,000 views in over 3 years ;-\

  • it is it is.

  • is that king charles on le harmonica/?

  • hi king charles :)

  • After hearing this I fell a bit annoyed by this bloke, he tried being a folk guy and failed so now has completely changed his style of singing and music to something more popular. He should just be who he is!

  • @Skapete can you not like more than style of music? Paul Weller, the jam, style council, maybe you need to open your mind, great music is great music, if you are lucky enough to be able to write it then go for it.

  • @Skapete he still sings about the same things but the only reason he changed as he stated in an interview that he didn't want to be pouring his heart out if no one would listen and who can blame him for that. i've met the guy both after gigs as JJP and the vaccines and he's a genuinely nice guy

  • @berrygirl1964 He's tipped to be now - his new band The Vaccines came 3rd in the BBC sounds of 2011 and are tipped for big things!

  • what key is that harmonica?

  • is it marcus mumford on drums? he looks like him

  • @paperkis it could well be... They used to play a lot of gigs together, before they were signed up. It certainly looks alot like him

  • is that king charles at the beginning? sounds a like the travelling band to

  • teh beginning sounds a lot like a bob dylan song. that is before he starts singing.

i really like it, i think.

  • woooow, amazing!

this is just so nice and true.

  • lets sail away :)

  • I absolutely love Jay jay pistolet. Such ditties you may make up if you had the talent :-) I love songs with lyrics you can identify with. It makes the audience feel a part of it. The poetry style of the words is lovely too if you see what I mean. I'm sure there is most probably a clever way of saying that but i don't know it lol

  • I'm seeing him in Newbury 21st April. CANT WAIT !!!

  • do you mean at Arlington Arts? it's on 23rd April, that one...

  • woooooooooo i am going too!
