Hey! Thank you for this helpful video. By the way, I hear many people keep on talking about Kinovelax Diet Plan (just google it), but I'm not sure if it's good.
Have you ever tried Kinovelax Diet Plan? I've heard some great things about it and my friend lost tons of weight with it, but she refuses to tell me :(
You are so wrong. lifting weights makes muscle grow. and we burn fat in the presence of oxygen..we burn fat all day long.. If you ever want to know anything about training..
What's up... Have you ever used DietOramy food plan (find it on Google)? I've been told a bunch of fantastic information concerning it and also my cousin decreased much fat from it.
Compelling youtube video... I've been following DietOramy weight-reduction plan (seen it on search engines) for a little bit now and my personal gains ended up gorgeous - I spent 6.5 percent of my absolute body fat within
Ive been burning fat while gaining muscle by simply running in the morning before I eat and eating a lot of calories and protein. I Lift weights at night and take weight gainer with creatine. Im not shreded but Im losing my stomach while maintaining my muscle. Its a slower process but it works. Theres no set way of doing things. Every body builder will tell you that. Just stay motivated and work hard
@Trollmydick ive just signed up to the gym, if i do my weekly split programme but after each workout ill do a 45min run on the bike, will this help to build muscle and lose fat?
@MultiMAGICDAN That should be fine if as long as your intaking enough calories and protein to keep the muscle you have while you burn off your fat while doing cardio.
muscle burns calories 24hrs a day so buy building muscle you burn fat. you may not lose the pounds as fast though. I recently drooped from 235 to 170 and decided I wanted to get to 160 so I started working out, but I'm staying the same weight even though I am getting allot leaner which im fine with.
It is possible to build muscle and lose fat but in some cases muscles will take longer to grow depending on how intense your cardio exercises are. When doing cardio, if your heart rate is between 125 - 135bpm then you can burn fat without burning muscle.
Extreme cardio (i.e. going over 140bpm) could make you burn muscle as well as fat so go easy on the cardio and you shouldn't have to worry about burning muscle. Hope this helps :)
@Farve4ever589 In fact that's when you've got the easiest way to lose fat an gain muscle at the same time. It's absurd to say that you cant gain muscle and loose fat at the same time. It's everything but impossible, it's actually extreamly easy.
So it isn't wise to keep lifting weights and working on my upper body then after that start jogging/running? thats what i want to do lift weights then run to lose body fat but i still want to look buff should i keep lifting weights then months later run/exersise alot more?
that is not true. i know from experience that if you do 60 minute intense workouts and have a 500 calorie deficit each day you will loose fat and build muscle with the proper nutrition. takes longer but still works.
@ Mclivin214 Its hard for you to understand if you dont know bout body building..He meant you cant build EXTRA muscle if you want to lose fat at the same time.Coz building extra muscles needs 500 caloric surplus and losing fats needs caloric deficit so they do both counter act each other..if you want to bulk up,you need more calorie intake and after six months what so ever depending on what your goals are..drop the calorie intake for defining muscle and change the workout program as well!

@rjp9871 your an idiot when you do weight training you build muscle mass and burn fat at the same time. The heavier the weight used the more your heart rate excellerates there by burning fat. Now if you don't have a good diet then your not gonna have dramatic results but you'll still burn fat. You wont lose much weight because the weight training will build muscle and muscle weighs more then fat so in all actuality you might weigh the same but i guarantee you look much more solid and tone
His program and story is made for skinny people wanting to gain muscle. If you weight 130 pounds and want to be muscular you need to gain weight. So no, you can't gain and lose weight at the same time. For you fatsoes out there, YES you will LOSE body fat and "gain muscle" (ex: from 250 to 180) but from 180 if you want more muscle YOU CAN'T GAIN AND LOSE WEIGHT at the same time.
its luks lik u got muscle when ur skinny but ur not backin it up and showing thats thats true muscle so ya i disagree with wat he says people do want to build muscle but u know people want to be strong and not just fool people
Vince, I have three peer-reviewed scientific studies at hand that show you can lose fat and build muscle at the same time and that it depends on your bodyfat percentage if you are able to do it. Only bodybuilders with an already low bodyfat percentage would find this difficult or even impossible.
I'm tired of fake sites that give tutorials and workout guides that don't work. Check my site out, You DON'T have to pay at all, no 1 time fee nothing, all you have to do is complete ONE short survey( Tip:Put all fake information if you want). and you access all my content, with 3 regular posts a day about new workouts, new guides that I believe work, that I've tried! IT WILL ONLY TAKE 1 MINUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This doesn't make sense. You are creating caloric deficit by working out and doing cardio. You focus on losing fat, not pounds, that is how cardio and resistance training go hand in hand.
just make sure you eat right between 4-6 meals, do some cardio if you have low body fat or more cardio if you got high body fat and lift heavy weights. you wont go wrong this way :)
If your diet is right, you CAN absolutely gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. Ask any trainer with a real education and hundreds of successful clients as proof.
@p90x4lifewaswrong22 Yeah. It's weird. I have read on bodybuilding forums that guys are like scared of carbs and want to do low carb but I look kind of skinny fat if I do moderate or low carb and look leaner and more muscular if I eat more carbs. Maybe most guys on bodybuilding forums are former fatsos. I started lifting weights because I was skinny. I almost didn't have any bodyfat.
yeah, definetly retarded, the more muscle you have in your body the more calories your body burns. i lost 10 pounds in a week from starting with semi heavy lifting and 20 minutes or so of cardio AFTER my workout. and a couple days of JUST cardio. you can get results both ways. every ones body is different, whos to say you can't do this and you can't do that and my ways right and your ways wrong. stfu find a program that works for you dont listen to douches that think they know it all.
This guy is full of shit he can go take his money stealing six pack and stick it up his ass you want to get a loose weight and get muscles (eg 6pack) easy 3 steps
A sound knowledge of the working muscles and were they are in the body is an essential need to be successful in building muscle. If you know were a certain muscle is in your body and you know its function and you are doing an exercise for that muscle and you can feel it stressing you know you are doing the exercise correctly - its so easy to do an exercise wrong
This guy knows what he`s talking about heres why - like he said when starting training you need a to focus on what you are trying to achieve you cannot build muscle and burn fat at the same time they require completely different training routines. To build muscle you use heavier weights and less reps in a set this routine will not burn fat to burn fat and to become toned not bigger but toned you use lighter weights and more reps in a set
I don't know if this guy is right I had a weight problem and my trainier made me to weights and cardio at the same time. Not only did I lose weight but I gain muscle after 3 months of hard work and dieting.
just exercise and you´ll see the results.. i go to gym 3 days a week and i really push hard.. i really have noticed the difference.. you have to be patience,, dont give up ;)
OK Vince so lets say I decide fo rthe next 3 to 6 months I want to lose wieght should I not be lifting weights? Your other videos seem to say that lifting weights is the way to burn fat. HOw should I train to focus on losing weight?
My only reply to this is Mike Mentzer. His High intensity training plus dieting allowed him to gain muscle while staying shredded. Gaining muscle and staying shredded is very much possible, its just harader to do than just focusing on one or the other.
This guy doesnt know anything, i've been running about 3 miles a day in addition to weights for about a month. I'm slimmer now, but I still weigh the same, which shows that it is possible to burn fat and build muscle at the same time.
If you are new to resistance training with cardio and the average joe then it is very possible to lose fat and gain some muscle. The average person is probably well over 20% bf if not close to 30% these days so they will have an easy time doing both. I know this because I went through the same thing. However, once I became leaner I found it very difficult to lose fat without creating a huge calorie deficit and sacrificing some muscle in the process. It all depends on your current fitness level.
hey what's up yall, you want to gain muscle just do every excercise with intensity. I do push up everyday and lift light weight and my muscle are strong, healthy. Don't listen to this F*ck face. LOL
what he is saying is true. Your body needs more calories to gain muscle, but it needs lower calories to lose fat. the two goals conflict and even if you try going at both goals at the same time, you wont get as far as someone else who is focusing on only one of these goals at a time
how are you going to say it's not possible to build muscle and burn fat at the same time if there are many studies that show that you can lose fat and build muscle at the same time! Everybody can achieve those goals and you just want to give people a long time to get results, when on the other hand people could do weight traning one day and cardio another and get their results in no time! Common Sense! Also why is title of the video "Build Muscle and Burn Fat" when your saying it cant happen?
@Mcluvin214 I know man this gay is dumb, he just wants us to buy his stuff lmao, its so ovbious u can build muscle and burn fat at the same time, I been doing it, just sprint and work out, sprinting burns fat strictly, but its hard as hell, this guy doesnt know what hes talking about I agree with u
@Mcluvin214 your wrong to say any of this is common sense...because 80% of the people i see in the gym dont know the difference between aerobic and anerobic excersize and WHY fat burning excersizes need to be aerobic, hes right to say focus on one because if your fat its much easier to burn fat when your main focus in the gym is fat loss in my opinion if your fat dont hit the weights hard until you can actually see some tone
@Mcluvin214 He's right though, you can maintain, but it is hard to build a good amount of muscle, while trying to lose fat, because you need that calories in your diet to get bigger, but you have too many calories, then you aren't going to lose fat. You can't switch programs everyday.
I did it and I know thousands of other people have done it too (unless your at 10% bodyfat or lower, but if your bodyfat is that low....it doesn't matter cause all you would need to do is gain weight). Then there are people that say well you need to be in a calorie deficit to lose fat (true), and to build muscle you need to take in more calories than you burn (true)....so where does the energy come from? YOUR FAT....DUH. FAT=ENERGY. 300-400 calorie deficit works perfectly for this.
dont u need fat to gain muscle, skinny guys have a hard time getting ripped, as for people with some body fat they turn that fat into muscle and they gain muscle fast as for the skinny guys that have no body fat it takes awhile to build there muscle
@IPWNBXRmash no your body needs protein to build muscle, skinny people can gain muscle as long as they eat alot of protein, chicken is a good source of protein
Been a long time since this video Vince! I think you've changed your mind now that you've hooked up with Joel Marion. What do you think now? Can loose weight and also gain a little muscle at the same time?
For you saying that he doesn't know well, and stuff.
This guy is actually good, if you do get deep with learning about that you will understand
But still, you can do it together ofc, but if u chase one goal at a time
Trust me, its a lot faster, lose fats, then build muscles, then u could lose more fats if u gained fats while bulding muscles, and the most important thing, is your DIET!
Vince.. i have a question.. im on a low caloric diet.. and i want to burn fat.. but on the other hand.. im also lifting weights.. and every week.. i would increase the intensity. i am getting stronger.. so im assuming that i am building muscle.. .. and i think im slowly losing weight... i also noticed that .. im hitting a plateau . i want to build as much muscle as i can with my body fat.. but my main goal is to get ripped for the summer.. am i doing something wrong?
i also understand from your videos.. that muscle building comes from a hormonal response.. and from this video.. im assuming that .. building muscle and lossing fat is the least efficient way of doing either??
I have one question though. What about strength gain while trying to lose weight? Is that common? If vince or anyone can answer this i'd appreciate it, cause personally I'm lifting 30 procent more than when I started my diet and training program to lose weight. It could be mostly due to the creatine that i've taken as well.

I've also heard some people claiming that you can build muscle while losing fat due to the fact that the body takes the calories needed from the fat that you shred, thus giving the muscle the nutrients they need. But I can't find any other valid source confirming this and it seems that most people agree with Vince that it's best to focus at one goal at a time.
@Sleepdancer87 What you heard from those others is actually correct. You CAN build muscle and lose fat at the same time, and do it on an ongoing basis.
@great456789 You actually do not need to be in a caloric surplus to build muscle. Some people have more difficuilty than others building muscle and losing fat at the same time, but they may just need more help.

I don't really think that he knows what he is talking about.... you CAN do both at once. i bought this product it worked really well for me, it also has a 60 day satisfaction guarantee. how sweet is that!!
PLEASE DON'T LISTEN TO THIS CAT! HE'S ABSOLUTELY WRONG!!!!!!!! YOU PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN TO READ! NOT LISTEN TO IDIOTS ON YOUTUBE RESEARCH: ZIG-ZAG DIET it is possible it takes dedication! and this cat is just saying lose body fat and your gonna be bigger lmao wtf...
I frickin hate the way you talk. it's soooo disturbing. to think i was looking for good tips from your video. you absolutely have no public speaking skills.
what hes sayin is true. they are very different. when u lose wait, u hav to cut down carbs, when u trinna gain muscle, u build up on ur carbs. there is a way to do da same tho. when ur lifting waits as soon as ur done, do cardio like run, walk or jogging for 20 -30 minutes and cut down on da carbs of wat chu eat. the only good carbs u need for this is like protien.
eat a lot of vegetables and lean meats!! dont drink sodas!! stay alway from sugars!! stay alway from fast food restaurants!! work on your cardio then lift weights!! its takes time!!
Poeple who are saying this guy is wrong, dont have much knowledge or experience. The only time you might lose fat and gain muscle at the same time is if you are a newbie. Otherwise m what he is saying is very true. Pick a goal and do it, or take drugs that will enable you to do both at the same time.
You can loose weight and build muscle at the same time. Physiologically speaking, when you rip muscle working out you body will break down fat stores in order to get energy to repair the muscle. Every pound of muscle you add to your body, you will naturally burn 50 calories extra a day (add it to you basil metabolic rate) just standing still. The key is a workout routine that involves lifting and high cardio if you want to be lean.
Also a caloric deficit does not mean a protein deficit. But if you have LOW body fat on you then your going to have to be at a slight caloric surplus because you have no calories your body can use from your fat stores.
Its VERY possible to gain muscle and loose fat at the same time. But you need a small caloric deficit of maybe 300-500 calories maximum. This way your body does not go into starvation mode and burn muscle. Your body will take the extra calories it needs from your FAT stores. Its only hard when a individual has maximized muscularity and minimized fat aka bodybuilders going to a competition that its hard to do both. But if you have some body fat on you your able to build muscle AND loose fat.
Ya'll is right this guy dont make no damm sense he sound so retarded because when you eat 5 or 6 small good healthy meals a day you lose bodyfat and build muscle through weight train and cardio once you get your bodyfat low enough you can get bigger muscle wise at the same time still losing bodyfat
its so easy to lose fat and gain muscle be a wrestler and youll understand
its easy lots of cardio lots of weight lifting and eat right and youll lose fat and gain muscle this guys just a juice head that thinks he knows his shit
i gained musle and lost fat shits easy when you lift it takes energy. i lift and run cardio everyday and i got results. so i know this guy is a retard.
you need at least 4 days a week 11/2 hour each day the reason you need that extra 1/2 hour because in that time you should do cardio. 15 min. before your workout and 15 min. after your workout. it is important to run and lift weights.
@DDKGlitches Don't do cardio everyday. You lose testosterone from it hampering or even stopping muscle growth. I have tuesdays and thursdays as cardio days along with maybe Saturday.
@DDKGlitches agreed, this guy has no clue what he is talking about.... lots of protein and very low carb intake... Have a good workout routine 4-6 times a week. You will be able to accomplish both
@DDKGlitches I agree bro, not saying he's a retard in any way, but I know from experience that you CAN lose weight and gain muscle, it's all a matter of the time you put in. I weighed 245 lbs and lost 25 lbs and made most my fat muscle. I was browsing for a video that explain how it works and how it should be done correctly and instead I find someone comparing WEALTHY celebrities with average everyday people. Plus, he should've reviewed what he was saying before going on Air.
@xXm0rales831Xx thanks man. yeahh i was wrong to call him a retard but it pisses me off when i see videos like this. he is leading people in the wrong direction
im more than 100% sure you can do both.
i lost now a total of 55 pounds nd i can bench 225 lbs all in 1 year.........
If you keep your protein intake 2 grams per kilogram of bodyweight, yet tune down the fat and carb intake a little bit and do more cardio. Then you will still be able to build muscle (though not as fast) and shed fat. I am in the process of doing just that and eventhough I'm not fat, I'm planning it to take 4-6 months cus I'm going slow and steady. Slow and steady will ensure my body won't 'eat' my muscle tissue.
what if i just bulk up then the muscle will take care of eating away the body fat. im 18 aiming for 180 pound..is it possible that just by vigorous weights i be ..somethin like 180 pound 20-30% fat
This is mildly helpful... it's a presell pitch to get you to the website and is for ppl who have no idea what they are doing AT ALL.. just eat good food, add supplements that align with your goal and you can see both muscle building at fat loss at the same time. A lot also depends on your body type.
If its impossible to burn fat and gain muscle at the same time, then i got something wrong with me. And same goes with just about everyone i know that works out.
I have to agree. I had a 45 inch waist once. I started working out. The muscle increased my metabolism--I was doing cardio too of course--I lost weight and gained muscle. Now I have no belly. Muscle mass increases metabolism. That's basic science. This guy is flat out wrong. I could find a million people like me who agree with me.
Haha it's people like you who really annoy me ... vince is right but u just didn't undestand him like the rest of you idiots.. first of all yes when u lift you lose weight due to higher metabolism and some cardio while lifting but he's talking about repetative and interugal cardio and weightlifting and trust me just keep lifting and you'll be a fattass again
vince is 100% wrong. Maybe it is harder to make huge muscle gains while losing fat But, I have lost 40lbs in 6 months and all my basic strength exercises (bench, squat, deads etc) have went up in weight. Therefore, I am obviously losing fat and getting stronger thus, gaining muscle. You don't get stronger without gaining muscle.

Vince, I have three peer-reviewed scientific studies at hand that show you can lose fat and build muscle at the same time and that it depends on your bodyfat percentage if you are able to do it. Only bodybuilders with an already low bodyfat percentage would find this difficult or even impossible.
If you like I'll gladly forward the links to you.

This doesn't make sense. You are creating caloric deficit by working out and doing cardio. You focus on losing fat, not pounds, that is how cardio and resistance training go hand in hand.
pangit22 1 year ago
Yeah you obviously can't lose weight and gain weight at the same time.
83Mysterio 1 year ago
the man has a point in what he says ..... but I still think it can be done
bilalhijazy 1 year ago
@bilalhijazy It can be done UNLESS you are carrying a decent amount of body fat and have been training for years and years.
p90x4lifewaswrong22 1 year ago
just make sure you eat right between 4-6 meals, do some cardio if you have low body fat or more cardio if you got high body fat and lift heavy weights. you wont go wrong this way :)

If your diet is right, you CAN absolutely gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. Ask any trainer with a real education and hundreds of successful clients as proof.
a68rebel 1 year ago
@a68rebel I agree with you.
ancoloco 1 year ago
@a68rebel Correct! The diet must be supplying enough complex carbs to leave the protein available for muscle growth
p90x4lifewaswrong22 1 year ago
@p90x4lifewaswrong22 Yeah. It's weird. I have read on bodybuilding forums that guys are like scared of carbs and want to do low carb but I look kind of skinny fat if I do moderate or low carb and look leaner and more muscular if I eat more carbs. Maybe most guys on bodybuilding forums are former fatsos. I started lifting weights because I was skinny. I almost didn't have any bodyfat.

chuston4 1 year ago
yeah, definetly retarded, the more muscle you have in your body the more calories your body burns. i lost 10 pounds in a week from starting with semi heavy lifting and 20 minutes or so of cardio AFTER my workout. and a couple days of JUST cardio. you can get results both ways. every ones body is different, whos to say you can't do this and you can't do that and my ways right and your ways wrong. stfu find a program that works for you dont listen to douches that think they know it all.

TheMrpizzas 1 year ago
There is a big difference between training to build muscle and training to be toned
hccIem1 1 year ago
When you become toned you then have to change your training routine to make the muscles stronger and bigger
hccIem1 1 year ago
This guy knows what he`s talking about heres why - like he said when starting training you need a to focus on what you are trying to achieve you cannot build muscle and burn fat at the same time they require completely different training routines. To build muscle you use heavier weights and less reps in a set this routine will not burn fat to burn fat and to become toned not bigger but toned you use lighter weights and more reps in a set

I'm slimmer now, but I still weigh the same, which shows that it is possible to burn fat and build muscle at the same time.
wafflecushioned 1 year ago
If you are new to resistance training with cardio and the average joe then it is very possible to lose fat and gain some muscle. The average person is probably well over 20% bf if not close to 30% these days so they will have an easy time doing both. I know this because I went through the same thing. However, once I became leaner I found it very difficult to lose fat without creating a huge calorie deficit and sacrificing some muscle in the process. It all depends on your current fitness level.
avittix 1 year ago

what he is saying is true. Your body needs more calories to gain muscle, but it needs lower calories to lose fat. the two goals conflict and even if you try going at both goals at the same time, you wont get as far as someone else who is focusing on only one of these goals at a time
JasonTheKangsta 1 year ago
how are you going to say it's not possible to build muscle and burn fat at the same time if there are many studies that show that you can lose fat and build muscle at the same time! Everybody can achieve those goals and you just want to give people a long time to get results, when on the other hand people could do weight traning one day and cardio another and get their results in no time! Common Sense! Also why is title of the video "Build Muscle and Burn Fat" when your saying it cant happen?

@Mcluvin214 I know man this gay is dumb, he just wants us to buy his stuff lmao, its so ovbious u can build muscle and burn fat at the same time, I been doing it, just sprint and work out, sprinting burns fat strictly, but its hard as hell, this guy doesnt know what hes talking about I agree with u
akbar232323 1 year ago
@Mcluvin214 I agree. One word - nutrition!
Dlaczego0 1 year ago
@Mcluvin214 your wrong to say any of this is common sense...because 80% of the people i see in the gym dont know the difference between aerobic and anerobic excersize and WHY fat burning excersizes need to be aerobic, hes right to say focus on one because if your fat its much easier to burn fat when your main focus in the gym is fat loss in my opinion if your fat dont hit the weights hard until you can actually see some tone
SatanTrain 1 year ago
@Mcluvin214 He's right though, you can maintain, but it is hard to build a good amount of muscle, while trying to lose fat, because you need that calories in your diet to get bigger, but you have too many calories, then you aren't going to lose fat. You can't switch programs everyday.
tastefulphrasing 1 year ago
I did it and I know thousands of other people have done it too (unless your at 10% bodyfat or lower, but if your bodyfat is that low....it doesn't matter cause all you would need to do is gain weight). Then there are people that say well you need to be in a calorie deficit to lose fat (true), and to build muscle you need to take in more calories than you burn (true)....so where does the energy come from? YOUR FAT....DUH. FAT=ENERGY. 300-400 calorie deficit works perfectly for this.

Sleepdancer87 1 year ago
@Sleepdancer87 What you heard from those others is actually correct. You CAN build muscle and lose fat at the same time, and do it on an ongoing basis.

@ fat-crusher . com there is a great video that shows how to lose weight
MindAsFocus 1 year ago
Also a caloric deficit does not mean a protein deficit. But if you have LOW body fat on you then your going to have to be at a slight caloric surplus because you have no calories your body can use from your fat stores.
SpartanLife1821 1 year ago
Its VERY possible to gain muscle and loose fat at the same time. But you need a small caloric deficit of maybe 300-500 calories maximum. This way your body does not go into starvation mode and burn muscle. Your body will take the extra calories it needs from your FAT stores. Its only hard when a individual has maximized muscularity and minimized fat aka bodybuilders going to a competition that its hard to do both. But if you have some body fat on you your able to build muscle AND loose fat.
SpartanLife1821 1 year ago
Ya'll is right this guy dont make no damm sense he sound so retarded because when you eat 5 or 6 small good healthy meals a day you lose bodyfat and build muscle through weight train and cardio once you get your bodyfat low enough you can get bigger muscle wise at the same time still losing bodyfat

you need at least 4 days a week 11/2 hour each day the reason you need that extra 1/2 hour because in that time you should do cardio. 15 min. before your workout and 15 min. after your workout. it is important to run and lift weights.
you have to be very patient and consistent.

This is mildly helpful... it's a presell pitch to get you to the website and is for ppl who have no idea what they are doing AT ALL.. just eat good food, add supplements that align with your goal and you can see both muscle building at fat loss at the same time. I have to agree. I had a 45 inch waist once. I started working out. The muscle increased my metabolism--I was doing cardio too of course--I lost weight and gained muscle. Now I have no belly. Muscle mass increases metabolism. That's basic science. This guy is flat out wrong. I could find a million people like me who agree with me.

vince is 100% wrong.
