  • EIDAH MUSH FAHMA EIDAH

  • never saw the film but loves the song but then i have always been a samsadjis big fan. enjoyed this classic. many thanks for uploading this song sheikhfari

  • This became a very popular song after the movie was released. Excellent rendition of the song by Uma Devi and of course very well composed by Naushad Sahib. The movie was a big success with its very powerful story and of course the movie was excellently directed by none other than A.R.Kardar.He too was a director with immense calibre having directed movies like Dard, Dillagi, Dastan, Dulari, Diwana, Jadoo etc.

  • Wah... kaya bat hai... MARVELOUS....

  • ye hoti thi heroen, aajkal ki to rande h.

  • one of the most melodious film song.this 64 years old song is still fresh and attractive.welldone naushad sahib and uma devi.

  • OMG what a song

  • With this song Umadevi shot into fame and she gave many hits that are fondly remembered even today. However with change of times, she did not get further oppertunities to sing and confined herself to comic roles and yet as an actress she made a place for herself. Though her songs are few each and every song was a hit. Thanks for uploading the famous song.

  • what a beautiful song....<3 it.

  • its really beautiful :)

but im laughin like anything :DD

  • Beautiful song. Thanks

  • Tun Tun's one hit wonder

  • @RixMissRix

tht shows ur knowledge of Music n abt Tun tun ji....she was a fabulous n famous singer. She gave chartbusters in Dard, Anokhi ada, Chitralekha. It was aftr arrival of Lata mangeshkar n asha bhosle tht she started concentating on acting n tht was on insistence of her mentor Naushad saab, coz lata ji kind of changed the female playback singing in bollywood with her voice....newaz be it acting or singing she was gud at both :D

  • @TheCoolguy143 No need to be bitchy! I never ever heard any of her other songs nor was I born when she sang the song. u probably come from a meerasi family and know its bitsy details about unknown people from kanjar community, cause probably u r one kanjar urself :D

  • @RixMissRix

lol I was so right abt u, newaz to knw abt a person u dnt need to b born in same era. m in my early 20's. newaz I jess said tht ur Music knowledge abt tun tun is ltd, donno y it offended u so much. Bt ya 1 thing for sure, u never take any criticism positively(though there was hardly any in my statement) newaz continue to think n right the way u feel like, it wnt make any diff to me, coz I came on this vid for tun tun n not for u :D

  • @TheCoolguy143 By the way U r now being Ignored... So relax!

  • Beautiful song. Can anybody write the lyrics of second antra or translate in english please? Thanks sheikhfari for this lovely song.

  • superb song kya baat hai " jab tu nahi to kuch bhi nahi hai bahar me " waah . dil chahat muh bhi nadekhoo bahar kaa " waah

  • very nice song......thanx 4 up loading this song ..voice quality is very good.........

  • Umadevi alias Tuntun was a very good singer with equally good voice quality. In fact she had also sung with the immortal Saigal. I have rwad somewher e that later on somehow she put on looot of weight and preferred to comedian roles where also she created her own place.

  • I wonder who is the heroine?Tun tun had a melodius voice. Has she ever sung for any other music director?

  • @mmerajali The heroine is Munnawar Sultana one of the leading heroines of late 40's and early fifties. She is with Dilip kumar in the song "milte he aankhen dil hua diwana kisi ka" in one of the movie.

  • What a luck of Tun Tun(uma Devi). She was introduced by Late Naushad Sahib in film Dard. Her probably the first song went sky rocket high. Unbelieveable. Hit song you would listen this song on every corner. I like it and I always enjoy it.(11th Jan 2011)

  • Beautiful song by Uma Devi (tuntun)

  • the endless charm to listen this song that till date keeps all us spellbound

  • I was stunned to hear Tun Tun (Umadevi) has such a melodious voice too. Naushad sahab gave her the opportunity to sing this song and she proved that she can sing too and proved which later this song became a great hit.

  • this song is so cute

i was afraid i wouldnt hear it

i heard it on my cousins wedding video

  • brilliant song. thanks

  • yes this song was picturised on my grandmother Munawar Sultana. May her soul rest in peace. Wonderful song.

  • @fs0623 really? thats grt....

  • you had a beautiful grandmother no wonder she was picked for movies as heroine good day

  • @fs0623 What a beautiful actress. She also starred in a 1947 film called 'Elan' (another Muslim social) soon after 'Dard', and it was banned temporarily because of its controversial content. Both films were composed by Naushad Ali, and have some of his greatest songs, including one picturized on Munawar Sultana, "Insaan Ki Tehzeeb".

  • Picturised on Munnvar Sultana

  • what is tun tun ?????

  • What a travesty...Tun Tun was turned into comedienne from such a wonderful singer! She was great in Pyaaasa in the scenes with Guru Dutt sahab!

  • @Voltairec It is not travesty, it is self realization or self actualization thru which one can learn how they can make the most of themselves and what they are best at.

  • The singer is TunTun. Was this picturized on Suraiya?

  • I think the most beautiful filmi songs were composed for female singers.

  • Love this song thanks

  • yes

  • Simplicity mein bhi kuch to baat hoti hai

  • this lovely song sung by tun tun (uma devi)

  • I started loving indian filmi music after listening to this marvelous Afusana likh rahi hoon for the first time. I was blown away. Naushad Ali for ever!
