Watched all 3 parts good vids, it would have been awesome if u had taken a screenshot of the stats after a battle, I have the game so i know they exsist but I guess the mod changes things, regardless good battle.

It occurred to me, especially after watching all three parts, why doesn't the Federation stop making all other models and focus solely on producing Galaxy and Sovereign class star ships. Because those suckers are stilling going. That cluster of 5 Galaxy Class ships was owning every thing, and the two Sovereign class ships cleaned up the stragglers. Also, why doesn't the federation use its synthesizer tech to make ships. Ask and POOF it's there.

@fodxp Logicists, mainly. Not to mention certain parts can't be replicated and need to be mined and manufactured, then installed into vessels in specialised shipyards. And then need to be fully crewed and supplied. And also they are a peacekeeping force at best, and prefer exploration and science to warfare.

Hense, most of their ships are relatively light. If anything, they should build a fleet of Defiants and hold them in reserve fleets just in case war breaks out.

@andromidius Now that is the first time I received an answer that made actual sense. Thanks, I really do appreciate it. I stopped watching Star Trek after season two of DS9. It just lost all appeal to me. The TNG movies were not very good either, excepting First Contact and Generations, despite their massive plot holes.

Borg cubes are almost always hilariously underpowered in these games. They pop like soap bubbles and appear to have the firepower of a frigate. A single cube most likely outmasses ALL the non-Borg ships in this battle. The various Trek games (except Birth of the Federation) give you the impression the Feds have an enormous tech edge over the Borg, which they don't.

All thats missing is physics for ship debris, the Legacy ramming flaw of rubber bouncy ships has always been lame, and in a fleet battle in space the swirl of burning debris would be a major factor, there would literally be junk everywhere. Burning hulks, debris clouds, chain explosions, nacelles flying by, warp core breach explosions, doomsday weapons, etc....

Targeting ship subsystems kills them quicker. Cripple their engines, then weapons, then their screwed

@tenthousandhairs The borg was shooting at another ship. Also, he's not that great of a flier. He just has all of his power thrown into his shields. No klingon or romulan ship (Cuz that's all he fought) can take a sovereign, they're just too tough.

If i do something a quarter this size on Bridge Commander it lags up and dies... how do you do it? I think its something to do with killing enemy ships....if you kill enough or something you get more torpedoes, don't quote me, bu I think thats how it happens.
