This is one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen. I can't believe the Italians need money so badly they would allow a ship of this size on the Grand Canal. I am glad our visits to Venice were before this monstrosity appeared.
It's not "Canal Grande" (Grand Canal) but "Canale della Giudecca", large and deep, but it's dangeorous in any case for Venice. Dangeorus for the pollution, for the water mass moved that pushes on the foundations and wall. It's also dangerous in case of accident... do you imagine what a beautiful vision a ship embedded in the Palazzo Ducale?

I've see this ship in August :) .. in venice the 16 August 2008 if I remember well. Just on front to the "MscPoesia" where I stay for my "honeymoon". Beautiful inventions this ships :D ..
