im a huge fan of pokemon and dbz. but sometimes in dbz they kinda dragged on some fights and had super pointless fillers. pokemon did a great job at avoiding that. i mean they could hav done the first season in like 15 episodes of just badges and the league but that would hav sucked lol i never really felt like there was an episode not worth watching

ok why didnt they just hide their most important pokemon in their bags? this would have worked for 2 reasons

1. togepi didnt get cloned cos it hid in misty's bag

2. and wen th pokeballs try to get pikachu and ash blocks them they cant get through him

I never got this question when I was 7 and I don't get it now. Did Ash only have Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charizard at the time? And for that matter, we don't see the cloned Togepi or Staryu who actually made an appearance in the movie. And only Vulpix was captured and cloned of Brock's pokemon. I know I'm knitpicking, but it bothers me that Pidgeotto, Onix and Geodude are missing, I love those guys!

@hauk93 i think pidgeotto was released by ash earleir in the series. Not sure about the other pokemon. I guess togepi didnt get cloned cuz it was hiding almost the entire time. *shrugs* lol i always wondered about togepi

@Espeon02 Pidgeotto evolved to Pidgeot to save his colony from a Fearow, Ash then decided to let Pidgeot lead the colony of Pidgeys and Pidgeottos.

@hauk93 at the end, when ash is braught back to life. You see misty, brock and nurse joy standing smiling, and togepi comes out of misty's bag. It had been hiding the whole time and not got caught. as for Staryu, I guess she just didn't let it out it's poke ball. I mean, when nurse joy first said to send them out, Misty didn't send her starmyu out, only her psyduck
