if Kiba is a KDE app, then when you try to grab it from Synaptic, it will grab dependencies, I have no personal experience with Kiba, I use Avant_Window_Manager, but that gave me no problems.... granted my buttons dont' explode lol, but I prefer mine stationary :D
agreed, the only feature of Kiba I really dislike, is it's ability to show a menu like that under the icon, it's handy but not necessary AWN still opens up a window so I can still do what I want :D

not any problems, really. it just didn't work! i had an old feisty .deb package, and i used it. i could see the dock alright. but it wouldn't let me add any launchers. i found a solution at ubuntu forums... but now that i have avant i think it's better haha...

I just tried to install ubuntu 8.04
on my acer aspire 5670
tons of errors due to my built in webcam
because they added support for it in 8.04
so I'm just gonna install 7.10
which doesn't support teh cam
