  • Rhode Island?... I'm just waiting for Family Guide to spoof this!

  • "home is full of bad things that can hurt you very much"

:( but home was the only place I felt safe, especially with all the murderers, terrorists and bacteria outside

  • what exactly is mr.yuk?

  • great ad

  • "So if you see Mistter Yuk..."Grab ur dad's shotgun and shoot him right in the face...

  • sick! SICK! SICK!

  • why's he gotta be green, huh? why did they have to bring color into it? *tch* racist bastards...

  • @vbear66 Cool story, bro.

  • MR. YUM IS RED... MR. YUM IS DEAD....

  • did they have the posion control number on it?

  • @vbear66 Go take your crazy political views elsewhere.

  • HOW DID A MR YUCK PSA SPARK A POLITICAL DEBATE??

  • @vbear66 Thats racisim. :P

  • @vbear66 That is very racist, NOOB.

  • Mr yuk and my own PSA me halon would get along!

  • He's not mean at all. He's risking his own health, turning himself green, just to warn you not to touch what he's touching. Mr. Yuk is dying, and it's all to save us!

  • @DoctorWorm01 Oh, so THATS why we don't see him much anymore...

  • Haha, we had these stickers all over the place in my house when I was growing up! Thanks for this!

  • I remember these

  • It would be great to see this on a postage stamp for paying bills.

  • WTH....and I had stickers of this when I was young....:P

  • SICK SICK SICK!!!!!!

  • @vbear66 I'm muslim asshat. and we wonder why theres problems between the countries

  • @imprintstudios don't feed the trolls

  • Why does Mr. Yuk look like the stereotypical version of a Chinese man sticking his tongue out?

  • We can see the person who wrote the song is a lyrical genius.

  • The message is clear: Poison Bad, Acid Good!

  • its better tp make it scary like this cause then kids wont wanna touch house hold cleansers!

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHA! Expect to see his face,in every single place! Even in your pants! AHAHAHAHHAHAHA! I loled so hard! Ray is getting this!

  • I would put the sticker on other peoples vaginas.

  • kids probally stuck the stickers all over the house

  • you said It! scary.

  • I remember this evil guy!

I dont see Mr Yuk stickers anymore.

  • I'm glad I was born in the late 70's and don't remember this horrible commercial

  • Now Imma have nightmares about that thing. Way to go!

  • I remember when they first came out with Mr. Yuk, it was only here in Pittsburgh and it spread out from here. I remember getting them in school from "pre-first grade" (I was held back a year) up until 3rd grade or so, it was the 1972 - 1976 period. I remember one friend of mine put Mr. Yuk stickers all over his purple bike, it was an interesting looking combination. I have another friend with a black and green 1991 Saturn, it would make the perfect Mr. Yuk car.

  • Can you still get Mr. Yuk stickers? I remember that the cleaning supplies in my house as a kid had the Mr. Yuk stickers on them in the late 70's and early 80's. It might seem silly, but I think it was an effective way at keeping kids from drinking bleach.

  • @thatmuse76 I think you can get them through your local poison control center.

  • @thatmuse76 I am currently in highschool, and we got them as first graders.

My younger sister never brought any home though.

It would probably be a good idea (if this were still a big deal) to make them part of household product labels do you didn't have to keep buying new stickers

Incidentally, they're also used as the desktop icon for the online MSDS catalog at my school. (MSDS stands for Material Safety Data Sheet; they catalog the dangers associated with chemicals used in science labs.)

  • I don't think it's scary.

  • sounds like Frank Zappa rote this jingle

  • lol maybe this is why im so screwed up

  • I'm so glad I never saw this shit on TV...

  • all you need is a couple blonde sluts dancing in the background and you gotta # 1 HIT

  • Good old fashioned nightmare fuel here

  • When I started kindergarten in 1983, my teacher handed out sheets of Mr. Yuk stickers and told us to go home and place them on chemical bottles. I'm glad they didn't have this commercial where I lived. That would've given me NIGHTMARES!!!

  • I remember this very well. We had a bunch of the stickers :)

  • Terrifying. They just don't scare kids with PSAs like they used to...

  • We had Mr. YuK stickers on products under our sink. Hee hee!

  • hahaha I remember these things... my mom used to have these things all over the place and by god they worked too

  • Very trippy PSA

  • whoever plays mw2

do u notice a mr yuk on a scope cap for the wa2000

  • So I take the time to edit this and put the commercial on here- Retrojunk takes it from me off here--- you take it from them and put it back here..... really freakin' pointless, don't you think? Can't stop shaking my head at how worthless that was to do- what were you thinking?

  • this scared the fuck out of me when i was a kid and it still does D:

  • ..."home is full of bad things that can hurt you very much" - I just can't imagine that kind of message being broadcast today. I'm pretty sure this Mr. Yuk was live here, actually

  • My parents still have a few bottles under the kitchen sink with the Mr. Yuck sticker on them, 25-30 years later!

  • "so if you see mister yuk......" punch him and run like f*#@

  • Goddammit this scared the shit out of me as a kid.

  • Mission accompolished, PSA. ^_^

  • wow, that's a way to make kids feel safe in their own homes

  • This is as scary as seeing people vomiting.

  • Comment removed

  • Obviously somebody dived into Mummy's 'medicine cabinet' while making this.

  • this is dumb to me it seems like it would make kids not ever touch that stuff thinking that its as danger as radioactive waste causing kids to dump it out of the bottles into the sink polutting the water supply

  • It is from retrojunk maybe but it's still the same version that's here :P

  • That is some scary shit...

  • Now you see why we kids of 70s are messed up :-)

  • @donjabroni No, ha no no no no no...That was the 60's my friend. The 60's generation is where the "messed up" part is.

  • the fuxz? damn, im a 90's kid, but that shit fraked me out.

  • GASP

  • I was born in the late '80s, but I still remember Mr. Yuk creeping me out as a kid.

  • oh my.

    i'm scared O.o

  • wow, thats fucked up

  • I remember that PSA. Scared the hell out of me as a kid. :-D

  • WEIRD

  • I like this Psa! I don't remember it, despite the fact that I'm a child of the 70's-but even now it scares me, which is what I like about it! It probably would have scared the crap out of me if I had seen it when I was little! I love ads like that! i love revisiting ads that once scared me, just to make them send chills down my spine again! It may have only been shown in certain areas of the country, which is probably why I don't remember it.

  • Oh, my goodness.

This commercial is older than my mother.

Is it just me, or does it seem like an acid trip?

  • Hmm, pretty good, but I prefer the singing pills from the '83 PSA

  • getting stabbed by knives also makes you stick.

  • The reason it is on Retrojunk is because they took it from me who originally posted it on youtube well before you took it from them to put back here. I edited it together and put it out there first. Anyone who sees the timeframe will see that so don't post a notice for people to "quit bitchin'" because you DID rip it off from a source that took it from youtube to begin with and I told you this months ago. This is redundant and most everyone knows mine was here first.

  • WHY DID YOU PUT THIS ON HERE!

    im going to have nightmares.

  • LOL, cool! But that's funny, I don't remember seeing this during the Seventies. Anyhoo, thanks for uploading.

  • What in the Motherfucking Hell?!

  • I love Mr. Yuk!

  • I remember all of this from when I was in elementary school. It's something to seein it's entirely.

  • Funny, this looks just like the one I uploaded like a year ago. I can tell- I did some editing to the song and video that is evident. Why upload someone else's video when it's already on youtube?

  • I was thinking that very same thing. Have you seen how many times the same "Dave Chappelle Sesame Street", "MAD TV Bird Flu" and "Angry Cat" videos have been posted? No wonder there's so much clutter on the internet!
