@danp5648 If you know one it helps but most lodges welcome anyone just walking in and asking to join, just tell them your interested and believe in a supreme being, a creator.
The welcome visitors and it gives you a chance to meet some of the lodge members, most are old so that is why we need a new generation to continue the lodge. I sent a email to scotland telling them I was interested and they put me in touch with my local lodge and who to speak to. It was easy and I was accepted
@danp5648 Depends on your faith, we call the creator the Great Architect of the universe in lodge as we have masons of many faiths within the temple.
Masons must have a god as we have oaths to take and atheism has nothing to hold their word too plus freemasonry believes in the most high and give thanks to life and try to help the less fortunate, atheists dont think their is any purpose to life or any meaning so dont do great things to help anyone

To join any of the ancient orders and secret societies you must be a mason to enter. I am a artist and find this world very colourful with bagpipes and standard bearers, its like travelling back in time. You would enjoy it.
You should join freemasonry then you will be able to take part in these events behind closed doors to find out the truth
